Because our GM is the biggest idiot in the league trying to shortcut the building process to keep his owner happy, that's why - LeftCoaster
Maybe the real idiot is the guy that doesn’t realize that keeping your owner happy is a good way to keep your job. No wonder Suncor fired your ass after 6 months dude |

So my plan is that if everything goes right we’ll achieve mediocrity! |

We’re discussing acquiring Krug. You’d be on board with giving up prospects and picks for him? What’s the point? |

Oh no. Agreed 100%. I don’t want Krug. Giving up a 4th round pick for Pouliot is something I don’t care about but trading premium assets for a guy like Krug would be awful. I hope that’s not something Benning is considering |

Something Vantel posted coming from Boston media. That’s why ( well today anyways ) Lefty referred to Benning as an idiot. I’d puke if he did that. That type of move horrifies me but I don’t discount the possibility for a minute. |

Fair enough. Benning has to kick the tires on any good player In the league. I don’t believe he would give up a Boeser, EP, Hughes, Horvat, future high pick - aka the future core - for a stop gap. I could be wrong. I hope not. |

Kicking tires is fine, but what if the cost was something like Juolevi, Virtanen and a 2nd. That’s giving up on two recent 1st round picks and likely a future high 2nd. That’s still a large part of your future in order to acquire a player you may not be able to retain long term nor will he ultimately help you short term(playoffs).
Just the idea is scary IMo. |

I can’t disagree with you. If Benning made a trade like that I’d burn his house down. But thankfully it’s just a rumour |

Yeah for sure it’s just a rumour. I just see many of our young players as a having some type of role on our future team and don’t want to lose them for poor value. |

1) failing at your job is not a good way to keep your job
2) I fired Suncor you dumbass
3) Are you sure you're not Benning's illegitimate son? Same IQ I'm guessing! |

The fact that he's even asking should scare the bajeezuz out of everyone. Sure it costs nothing to ask, but if they asked for two young players and a 2nd you can bet your ass he's thinking about it. |

It was on twitter with an account/username Buck Foston, I assume it is someone who still hasn't gotten over the 2011 loss and hates Benning.
Hmmm...have you gotten over that loss yet?😀 |

Oh ya....it's a passion of mine, the Canucks and hockey in general, that said, it's only a game.
I hate Benning, on a professional level, nothing personal, because I don't think he's very good at his job. However, I hope he succeeds, despite himself. |

He’s a top six player for sure, it’s just a matter of what position. If he opens at 3 /4 C then I immediately have coaching concerns - golfingsince
I am guessing it will be a while before he goes to center. |
|
|
|
On the Canucks perhaps he can move into that position in the second half of the year, or sooner, if he does really well. I suspect (hope like hell) he shows really well and suplants Sutter and Beagle to their rightful bottom six positions. - LeftCoaster
I think he will become our number one RHF |
