Part of it is Bennings fault (Hamhuis ) and part of it Gillis fault ( NTC/NMC) - VANTEL
What I don't understand is gm's not seeing this coming. or not preparing for it.
Sure give a player an ntc or nmc but have it end February 1st, of the last year, or that is when the player has to give list of teams.

Good morning.
Granlund had a good season before last season and last season he was given more defensive responsibility but wasn't able to do much offensively.
I'm not sure if it is all on him, can't remember anyone playing with him that did any more.
We have so many complementary type players who depend on line mates or better players to push the play. Gagner doesn't drive the play but can up his game with better players.
We need more depth. - hillbillydeluxe
I think Granlund can play to the strengths of his linemates. Put him with the Sedins, he puts up good offensive numbers. Put him with Sutter, he plays like Sutter |

I don't think Beagle is playing 4 th line . I think he will be third line center . - VANTEL
He shouldn't be on a top 20 club.
On this club he'll be 2LC in no time. |

It is all to do with the role you are assigned. When he was on Sedin line, you are expected to be more offensive, when he played last season with Sutter, they were tasked with being a shutdown line playing hard minutes.
I thought Granlund showed good versatility the last 2 seasons.
Althouģh I am not a fan of his, he has filled in fairly nicely, in whatever role he has been assigned.
He should be a decent pickup for a playoff team this tdl. |

For whatever reason the Sedins strengthened his game. We've seen flashes of good play from Granlund away from the Sedins and such but man what will it take?
He doesn't really fit in our top 6 and we don't really have the support for him in the bottom 6 forwards...
Granlund-Hutton-3rd the new package? |

that doesn't sound much different than Gagner.
I guess we should put Granlund with Brock and BO and then trade him. feck, we should do that with a few players. (half the team) |

He is basically the 2nd coming of Jannik Hansen. Hopefully they can either carve out a role for him with the Canucks, or they can get a decent return for him |

Hansen played hard in the tough areas.
Granlund...doesn't. |

Right now the Canucks have two top six forwards (Horvat & Boeser) and a bunch of barely middle six forwards, it's gonna be a long year
Oh ya.....Pettersson |

I would be fine with a 3rd, too many similar type players.
As Humungous said, maybe put him in a package for a better return. |

Fair enough. Hansen did produce a bit more off the Sedin line but I can see your comparison. |

I think Leipsic will end up more like Hansen, bit as Marwood said earlier, he probably gets moved before seasons end. |

I would be ok with that, if he was there to support Petterson and Jake, defensively. |

Leipsic has shown that with TOI he might produce...wait and see process. The kid has great speed and goes to the net. I can see him sticking around. |

To be honest, I'd rather he'd have gotten draft picks than this continual pattern of picking up castoffs. Nothings really worked as of yet. - LeftCoaster

Those three kids (Horvat Boeser Pettersson) will have me watching on TV. As long as Benning is in charge though, I'm not giving Aquilini any of my money. |

I know I am probably wrong on this but I think Gagner and Granlund are the ones that have to prove themselves this year.
I think Green will eventually give the job to Leipsic and Gaunce . I think he will start with Gagner and Granlind and if they are not producing will switch to the other two. I think he will favor the youth long term but give those two older players one more kick at the can to prove themselves. - VANTEL
I agree, it's only logical to put guance in a top 9 roll with beagle as his center, together they can dominate. |

1) failing at your job is not a good way to keep your job
2) I fired Suncor you dumbass
3) Are you sure you're not Benning's illegitimate son? Same IQ I'm guessing! - LeftCoaster
I’m immediately selling my Suncor shares. |
