I just think coming from Wyoming and being raw he’s best to learn from the sidelines from the bit. If things go off the rails quickly then get him into some games but I think it can hurt his development. He definitely has the tools to be a great QB in this league though for a long time. - Pegullaville
Peterman did pick things up, however, connecting with tight end Nick O’Leary for a 35-yard touchdown on the way to finishing with eight completions in 10 attempts for 113 yards and a passer rating of 147.1.
It's not hard to justify giving Allen a pass through the top defenses the Bills play through the the first four games. Give Peterman a shot and let him learn as #2
David Carr’s career was ruined because he got killed behind that Texans O-line on an expansion team. Give the kid time. With Allen starting or on the bench the Bills are a 6-7 win team regardless.
BTW, I was up in Toronto on July 20 and July 22 to see Radiohead and Arcade Fire. It
is such a great scene. So diverse and everyone is so cool.
Was up in New Toronto last week to watch the Rogers Cup ATP Tour quarterfinals on
Friday on York University campus. Great venue. Again, great people. - rmiethaner
Yeah Toronto is a fantastic place to be. Great atmosphere. Where I live is essentially half way between Toronto and Hamilton. I do visit often and have it as my location becuase nobody would know a small town in Southern Ontario other then people in the surrounding areas. Make it to a few Sabre games a year since it’s about a little over an hour on the QEW.

Oakville? I was born and raised there. Now live in B.C.
I watched the the Bills game. Allen was by far the best QB. They have some real tough decisions to make moving forward. For whatever reason, even though Allen looks like he is moving to the top of the QB heap, i don't want him to start the season. I think it's like throwing a lamb to the wolves. Would rather he watched from the sidelines for 6 or 8 games and then put make him starter, assuming whoever is QB is stinking the joint out. I just don;t want to rush him or break his confidence. He is going to be a very good one - long term.

he looked just as bad in carolina and as a giant
either you chuck it, you check it down, or you do nothing and get sacked
Let's wait until next Sunday to say that. He should get the start.
I was pissed when he was drafted over Rosen, and I am very negative, but I think I might be wrong on this one. - rmiethaner
I'm really impressed with his composure, that play where the corner came free he just took the sack, he didn't do anything stupid. The TD was beautiful, side stepped then stepped up into the lane and threw a perfect pass.
it's only 2 games against inferior competition, but he's still shown good things.

I will roll the dice with the kid - homiedclown
He played in only 6 games for Carolina. Unsurprisingly he suffered a back injury while being sacked. The Panthers ultimately released him because, well, he's David Carr.
peyton, elway, aikman all got thrown to the wolves, they turned out fine - homiedclown
I do wonder if Carr had been in a better situation to start things off if his career could have turned out differently (he was never going to be a superstar because he would have been if he had that in him). He took way more sacks than just about anyone ever. That probably takes a significant physical and mental toll. The human body and mind can only take so much abuse.
