I'd rotate the c between guddy and sutter - Pres.cup
Maybe a think outside the box solution? Like interlocking C’s, sort of like the Chanel logo, stitched onto both Guddy and Sutsey’s sweaters. |

If anyone deserved to be named the captain it would be Gaunce. He's a high draft pick who captained the bulls. His stats scream elite shut down forward and he helps way more than the younger shutdown players. He's older and wiser then horvat and is ready to take on a mentorship role. - Pres.cup
I hadn’t considered Gaunce, but now that you mention it, YES! Oh wait, I think I actually suggested this last week during Gaunce-a-palooza. |

Why is everyone ignoring the quiet leadership potential of Sven Baertschi ? |

Poppy-cock....Claude Giroux was 24 when he was named the Flyers captain, this is a perfect time for Horvat to use his maturity, work-ethic and talent to act as the Canucks captain.
Toews, Landeskog and Crosby were all 20 when they were named Captain. Tavares was 23 when he was named Captain. Stamkos was 25.
It's Bo time - LeftCoaster
It is Bo time.
If Sutter gets the C or someone other than Bo it's a sure sign the team is headed in the wrong direction.
Oh wait...

IMO, Sven is a stop-gap top 6 player that is tradebait, during the lifetime of his contract.
I would much rather see players , such as Bo or Boeser wearing the C(or A), with a veteran like Tanev Edler Gudbranson or Sutter wearing an A.
But what do I know, I am not yet a man. |

VAN
That's his order.
IMO I think SJ is the team to beat this season in the Pacific. They don't have many years left but are still a deep team. - manvanfan
Agree, I also don't believe Vegas can be as good again this year, or that Calgary will rebound. I also have the Canucks 4th, just making the playoffs

Disagree. You don't commit $10m to a stop gap. Benning clearly sees him as a valuable contributir and mentor for the younger players making their way up, and rightly so. |

Interesting. SJ is still a good reg.season team but not sure they have the window still open to go deep in the PO's much like ANA. Vegas' lucky little run is over and after being exposed by WAS last year in the final can't see how they can even come close to repeating that season. LA should remain fairly solid. Seeing a bit of the changing of the guard here more like:
LA
EDM
SJ
ANA
CGY
VAN
VGK
ARI
A little more realistic. |

Vegas had a perfect season and they have lost a lot of scoring. I don't think Van is going to make the playoffs unless they have a Vegas type of season |

LA signing Kovalchuk shows they are desperate for scoring. Edmonton hasn't done anything to get better on paper. |

Benning gets ideal value. He always gets his man, he never pays too much, and he always pays enough, which is why free agents want to sign here, the respect the GM. |
