In no way shape or form would trading for him be a move in the right direction! It'd cost a 1st, for a bad rebuilding team, and a highend prospect, you don't do that when you're rebuilding. I don't believe Benning is that stupid.

I dont think its unsafe to assume one of brock/bo/pettersson/Hughes and a 2019 first are included in any deal for karlsson. Despite being fleeced in the dahlen/burrows deal, ottawa clearly wants back into the 2019 first round

As I’ve said many times, I’m not a huge Karlsson fan so I have limited interest personally. That being said, every team should be inquiring about a trade regardless of whether they are a contender or a rebuilding team. Dorian is incompetent and desperate. He isn’t coming to Van but placing a call is a good idea.
