Jovo's power was tremendous. From his skating to his strength, he was just so powerful.
This team could definitely use his combination of heart, pushback, skill and speed!

first ever hockey fight I saw while attending a game as a kid:
Out of curiosity who is a dealbreaker for you then?
Juolevi? Demko? Gaudette? Dahlen? Lind?
Or would you be able to live with any of them being in that deal? - Nucker101
I’d be fine parting with Gaudette, Dahlen or Lind. My primary concern would be losing our first round pick as it’s the easiest way for us to replace our organizational hole at center. I’d be fine with Gaudette, Lind and two seconds. But I’m sure they would hold out for a first. The Canucks aren’t a good fit

Not the greatest defender but who cares, he was great at a lot of other things.
He was a tough SOB! Didn't lose many fights. Damn those Denver teams were good.
Sakic / Forsberg / Yelle
Kamensky / C. Lemieux / Deadmarsh / Young / Keane / Simon
Ozolinsh / Foote / Leschyshyn / Krupp

Those were a bit before my time lol. I grew up as a kid with their "Dream team" that ended up not meshing. When they stacked their roster with Selanne and Kariya, as a kid I just assumed that the Avs/Wings were like the Yankees of the NHL because of how many big name players they had in the video games

Too much risk. Those three aren't Shink-McCann and Jensen. lol

You were unfortunately born too late, you missed some of the greatest players and teams to have ever played the game. Sure the game was different in the 80's and 90's but we got to witness Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Yzerman, Sakic, Ray Bourque, Lidstrom, Coffey and Denis Potvin in their prime.
It's still great, it's just a different kind of great now.

They can want Hughes but they aren’t getting him. They will get a mid first, a second and a B+ prospect imo - CanuckDon
I could live with something like that.
Vegas must have a lot to offer or different packages that would be more appealing.
Whatever the move Ottawa makes, they must want to finish higher than last season so they don't give away a top 3 pick to Colorado. we are struggling right now, can't see what we can offer to make them immediately better.
but agree with you, JB has to always be talking to other gm's. has to know the market.
