Obviously an extension would be the primary point of the trade, but i dont think giving up on one of our 3 A+ prospects for karlsson (given age) and where the canucks are currently at, is a smart move. - Codes1087
Of course they wouldn’t. Ep Hughes and boeser are untouchable |

You would hope. I would also like to think horvat is in that group as well. His cap hit and skillset makes for a very good 2nd line center. |

Why would we trade our best center for a RHD. Creating a hole at center and adding an older Defensman. Horvat is not being offered either! Common sense |

Trading Horvat.
I'd love to to see the marketing campaign around having Brandon Sutter as the 1st line center.

If Petterson does ever become #1C & Horvat is 2C, this team will be in fairly decent shape down the middle.
With Petterson only playing a few games at centre in SEL, I think we should curtail our expectations somewhat on him playing centre anytime soon. - Reubenkincade
Line up with EP at C
1st line - Bo Line
2nd line Def shut down line - Sutter
3rd Line - 2nd scoring line with EP in middle and PP
4th line - Centered by Beagle - 2nd def line and PK
Other wise
EP can play wing on top 2 lines and with that we can have a plug at 3rd line center like Beagle or Gagner |

Elliotte Friedman
@FriedgeHNIC
There is a sense today that Erik Karlsson trade talks have picked up in the last few days. Most likely destinations appear to be Western Conference. There is also a belief VAN has stepped in to see if it is a match.

All in all, the likelihood that this deal goes down is pretty slim. I imagine and friedman just created a buzz of hysteria for nothing. - Codes1087
Many people on here have said a number of times "if EF is reporting it, there is something to it".
He repeats rumours. He is not as careless with rumours as other but he still is a rumour monger. He has that and the human story. That's his shtick... not much of a hockey mind at all. Insiders... the real insiders in the organizations know they are talking to the public with him. If he gets real info from the club... it's deliberate venting. So the most reliable stuff is controlled pretty much. |

As I’ve said many times, I’m not a huge Karlsson fan so I have limited interest personally. That being said, every team should be inquiring about a trade regardless of whether they are a contender or a rebuilding team. Dorian is incompetent and desperate. He isn’t coming to Van but placing a call is a good idea. - CanuckDon
Funny thing is if they trade Karlsson for futures, is they traded their own 1st pick... without EK they are guarantied a top Lottery pick for Colorado haha

That's a lot of questions but I'll answer as best as I can. First of all, Kudos to you for even knowing that there IS a difference!!
Miss USA is mostly about looks. There are three phases of competition all weighted equally - evening gown, swimsuit and interview.
Miss America is more about the total package. There are five phases of competition - Talent at 35%, Interview at 25%, Evening Gown at 20%, Swimsuit at 15% and On Stage Question at 5%.
There are three things that really make the Miss America system different...there is a talent portion, the interview is much more intense and, most importantly, it provides millions of dollars in scholarships not only to the winners, but runner ups, preliminary winners, etc. every year.
Neither system is necessarily "better" than the other. They are just different. There are girls that are successful only in one system, but there are many that crossover and are successful in both.
Hope this explains it |

Out of curiosity who is a dealbreaker for you then?
Juolevi? Demko? Gaudette? Dahlen? Lind?
Or would you be able to live with any of them being in that deal? - Nucker101
No Demko... |

Its so easy for a canadian hockey market, with cap space, to have insane rumors to be started and circlulating. |

lol you offer Edler-Tanev then sweeten it with Gaunce-Granlund-Baertchi. That should be enough to cover it. |
