If i'm Ottawa, I want one of the top young assets in Vancouver.
They demanded Foote from Tampa and Glass from Vegas, don't see why they'd suddenly go from demanding a blue chip prospect and choosing quantity over quality.
Might as well wait since those types of offers(B prospects + picks) will still be available at the TDL anyway |

I also like the fact that he did not once mention that he'd like to be "competitive"
Jimbo is learning here - Bakwas
All this paranoia is based on nothing. No prospects or picks are being moved. Let’s get back to the great Gaunce/ Beagle debate |

Waiting until the TDL is a HUGE risk for dorion. |

You're right, he prefers trading away picks for former top prospects who have been leapfrogged by other players |

not if he's getting lowballed right now. what's there to lose? he'll get those same offers by then too. Just wait and hope someone gives in, if not then yeah he has no choice and has to take the best offer at the TDL.
He's in a tough spot, but I don't blame him for waiting if he's getting pretty mediocre offers, those similar offers will still be there in a few months.
biggest risk is EK getting injured. |

EK getting injured is a massive risk. Not one they can afford to take. They need to take the best package prior to Oct 5th and move on. Dorion has destroyed that franchise and he can’t double down now. |

They don't even own their own pick though so Karlsson in the lineup doesn't hurt them, if anything it makes them look a little less foolish for that Duchene deal since he might help keep them out of the bottom 3.
Yeah, he could get injured, but that's the risk you take if you feel you're getting lowballed right now. |

Agree to disagree. Not to mention, EK will not be a happy dude if he is forced to go back |

I agree. I wasnt expecting that post to be taken seriously.😀
I don't believe we are very good trade partners with Ottawa, in this deal, unless it is some type òf 3 way deal.
We have only just started seeing our prospects enter the AHL and we have 2 top 6 forwards, so hopefully, Benning doesn't do anything stupid like this.
If he does, I will join Lefty and call Benning an idiot on here daily.😁 |
|

I would offer Virtanen, Juolevi, a 2019 3rd round pick, and a 2020 2nd round pick for Karlsson. If they would rather have Stecher than Juolevi then that would be fine too. |

He just went on radio and said he’s not trading 2019 picks or any of his top prospects so this deal isn’t happening unless he’s gone from Simple Jim to professional poker player overnight

Karlsson to Vancouver
Karlsson*
Ryan
For
DiPietro
Virtanen
Juolevi
Tanev
2019 2nd
2020 1st
*if Karlsson resigns in Vancouver the 2019 2nd changes to a lottery protected 2019 1st, and the 2020 1st changes to a 2020 2nd (unless Vancouver is a lottery team then it is 2020 1st and 2019 2nd).
^I'm 90% sure that doesn't even make sense - SwingersOfSultan

So it's horvat, boeser and a 2020 first for Karlsson and ryan.... I still don't like it. |

Three minutes to go in the championship game in Da Beauty League.
Bic currently leads Velocity 3-1.
Boeser scored the goal that could stand up as the winner and set up Nate Schmidt for the insurance goal on a spectacular pass. And the PBP guy is raving about his play without the puck.
