Forget the o-line, forget everything. Peterman just looks and plays better than Allen. Peterman seems more "on target" with his receivers. I think Allen was barely 50% completion rate for the preseason ? Allen seems like a reach at 7. Start Peterman.

Under 60% completion percentage in college. Seems like a reach/project to me. They fell in love with the arm strength and potential, it would appear. Hope i'm not just overreacting and I wish him well here.

Allen has all the traits, but he needs to sit and learn how to read defenses. Yes the o-line could block better but a veteran might check to other plays, slide protection, or even get rid of the ball quicker to avoid some of those sacks. Let peterman get killed and Allen will come in around week 6.

He also held the ball way too long when he did have protection
Maybe the WRs weren’t open?
But he still can’t take sacks like that
They’re drive killers

Peterman isn’t great,
but he can read the defense quickly and get the ball to an open WR

No reason to rush Allen
We all know he’s the future
Let him get better mentally
Develop him slowly, if that’s what it takes
It’s not like he will sit all year
We know he will get in at some point
