“The speed was eye opening”
“We had plays in place if i got the ball out in time”
-Josh Allen - jdfitz77
Got to like a guy who puts blame on himself even though his O-Line was horrendous and didn't give him time, and WRs and TEs who dropped passes that hit their hands/chest while wide open. |

That O-line broke down so quickly. It was madness watching rush after rush getting through to Allen. |

The fact that they weren't even blitzing and had 2 guys in the backfield every play is terrifying. Hopefully McD gets over his love of Ducasse and realizes he is complete trash. |

It’s obvious Allen wasn’t reading the defense in those split seconds. If you don’t see that you’re not paying attention, yo |

For sure
I appreciate that he focused on what he needs to do better instead of throwing teammates under the bus |

He even said himself that there were plays to be made if he got the ball out quicker
Joke all u want
Allen... is... not... ready...
it’s that simple
And it’s ok
Doesn’t mean he still can’t develop into our Franchise QB |

Not a sports analytic, but these were my observations while drinking my beers. I rely on instant replay since I miss a lot. |

This doesn't necessarily follow from the observations you made. It might be accurate. It might be that even a "ready" QB would have been sacked 5 times and taken the blame in the Monday morning quote.
In any event, most now agree that he should not start the season. Whether that conclusion is motivated by health preservation, or because he isn't ready is essentially immaterial, isn't it. |

Do you think we should take our time with him and not rush him? Just curious where you stand on this. |

Yeah, i guess so
But it was never gonna hurt him to develop him more slowly
Idk why anyone would wanna rush the guy in there?
We knew when we drafted him that he was the furthest away from being “ready”
Giving him more time to learn before he’s in there will only help
But yeah, whatever reasoning ppl wanna use is their prerogative
I’ll stand by my opinion that this is a blessing in disguise
And in no way does him not being the Week1 starter diminish how good he can still become in the future

Idk how familiar you are with my posts...
but your gonna hear it even more from me
Even if we start 0-4 with Peterman,
not starting Allen Week1 is the right choice |

I think all that is fair. I too would be surprised if SJ can't put together some wins in the post season.
Still, I wonder given the way some of the best teams have built around the draft, whether or not just standing and picking is best. If it can get us another Skinner, fine, but unless I'm knocked out...I like 3 first round prospects entering our system. - RhinoFan
Considering we are going to be a team spending towards the cap once you figure in Reinhart, Dahlin, Mitts extensions (yes I’m already looking that far ahead) having 3 first rounders in a deep draft playing on ELC will be imperative to getting the most out of the salary cap space we’ll have.
A core of Eichel, Dahlin, Mitts, Skinner, Reinhart, Risto paired with 3 first rounders could be scary good. Now it all depends on if we hit on these picks but I think we have a good scouting department in place under Botts. Managed to identify Mitts as a guy they were even willing to trade up to 5 to get and picked him at #8.

The same thing I always thought when you were telling me he was a legit starter in the nhl and I was off base and too hard on him. |

While you’re at it, please let us know how you think Okposo should be deployed this year and why. |

Exactly. That should be the plan. Some could take a few years to come into their own, but as the cap gets tighter for us, having youth to promote will be big.
I'm really hope those picks don't get pushed out to 2020 though. |

-Trey White is a good corner, but cannot cover elite receivers one on one.
-Davis/Gaines cannot cover good receivers.
- Milano cannot cover average backs or tight ends.
-Trent Murphy being out is a problem and we should be glad they didn't trade Shaq.
-We can expect all 3 qb's on the roster to start games this season, and possibly a 4th that isn't on the roster yet.
-The Bills are 2-3 years away from being good even if Allen pans out.
-Another season of knowing the outcome of the games early in the 1st quarter.
The Sabres will make the playoffs before the Bills win 10 games in a season.
