If Karlsson is traded to Vancouver AND inks an extension with them the world as we know it will end. |

Who was it that noted that Ek's sources have been crushing it lately? - Aetherial
I don't think I have ever seen someone say that on here, that would of been a hardy laugh though. |

Ummm No
We lost 3 of our top 5 scorers (145 points), and replaced them 4th liners.
Bottom 5 offense last year, and we are hoping just to score enough to repeat last years numbers. - classic321
If Demko pans out you will be in Toronto's shoes in the next year or two. |

Vancouver is going to be better than a lot of people expect. - Aetherial
I agree. They have some good players in the pipeline that should be some impact players.

All the guy said was “feeling amongst gm’s”..... he’s not breaking news..this could be gm’s in the US that he’s talked to. GM’s that maybe have discussed trading for Karlsson? |

The idea that Karlsson has to go to a contender is absurd. He’ll likely sign an extension and team will have him anywhere from 6-9 years. His choice will be where he wants to be and how he projects that team to be over a period of time. Core of team now plus prospect pool and cap structure. How many teams can actually fit him in their future plans? |

Maybe someone can help me here because I am very unfamiliar with the Vancouver rebuild. Are they actually a Karlsson away from being a contender in a few years? I’m just curious as why the Vancouver thing picked up over the last month. - agame99
They are an NHL team away from being a contender in a few years |

Straight up for Ottawa's first; ultimately making the Duchene trade easily the worst deal in the history of the league.

I know what you are referring to, but in this context it would be hardy. In this situation hearty would be considered a complimentary support of laughter and would be incorrect. |

You are going to make me look this one up!
Looks like either works and they seem to have similar meanings. I have to say that "hearty" seems to fit a little more properly. |
