Benning came out saying he will not trade one draft pick or any top prospects and specifically said they are not in on Karlson. He also said he wanted to add picks for the upcoming draft.
Why do you even put this poop on your site? Makes you look stupid. |

I actually like Karlsson to Colorado...
Karlsson for our 1st rounder back + 2019 COL's 1st + Timmins + Girard assuming Mhakar is off the table - Bretts281

Jesus Christ are you terrible at this. You will get only 1 of those things and thats your own 1st rounder.
Do you realize how poorly ran your team island how bad of a situation they put themselves in bc your owner had a chubby for Matt Duchene and over paid to get him |

You do realise, that "the USA Today guy" has been covering the NHL since the mid-80's right? Just because he doesn't work in Canada doesn't mean he's not tuned in the Hockey world.
I'm not saying he's going to be right, but to discount him just because he writes for USA today and not TSN/Sportsnet is a little narrow minded don't you think? - Horus1927

At this stage your earlier proposal of Barrie & the Sens 1st might actually get it done. |

Thats how I see it, Avs dont really need to trade for Karlsson as their D core is set up pretty well for now and into the future.
Karlsson would be a nice to have but they aren't tearing down their future depth to get him like that guy thinks teams would do.
If they dont like they offer of Barrie and their own first, Avs are cool just hanging onto that pick and drafting whatever they get from the Sens bc that Duchene trade with Girard alone is a win for them, never mind the 5 other pieces that they got for him |

You didn't want to be correct?
https://writingexplained....earty-or-hardy-difference - Atomic Wedgie
Nice link, thanks!
Hearty is more complicated. It has many meanings, one of which overlaps with hardy, and is the source of most of the confusion. In most cases, for sturdy or strong, hardy is a better choice, while hearty is more appropriate to describe a hot stew or a welcoming greeting.
To remember hearty, think of things that benefit the heart: a welcoming greeting, a nourishing strew, pleasant laughter or applause.
Hardy means robust or sturdy, like a plant that is hard to kill or a champion martial artist.
See, I know you think you are correct, but in this case you are very wrong...did I say very? I mean very very.
Wasn't a warm and pleasant laughter as described by definition AND examples...it was a ROBUST HARD laughter.

I take back all those bad, no, horrible thoughts I had of Sakic through that period. He's come out a genius! Whether that be through Dorians incompetence or his own crafty little (frank)erness.
I wonder what other teams will pay for the Sens 1st?? |

nah, then you are just paying full market value for EK what other teams would have to pay
Avs own something no other team has, their 1st round pick, so any trade with Ottawa, that pick holds more weight.
Like I said if Sens dont like it, then they are more than comfortable holding onto that pick and watch them spin their wheels this season |

I think egos play too big a role in that trade, I just don't see Ottawa trading their best player in Franchise history for an asset they should have anyway. It would go way past egg on face and right to head in cows butt. |

Thats why I only see it happening if sens just say (frank) it and want to end the suffering knowing they are leaving value on the table
Avs dont need to trade the Sens 1st++ for Karlsson, they can just chill out and wait to see what happens with the pick no matter w hat. But if Sens come calling for that pick, they would listen to discounted EK or Stone deals |

I would personally keep Ottawa's 1st, going to get a great player and cheap. EK would be a great addition, but for cost AND giving up assets, pass. |

Right now its at its highest perceived value bc recency bias is that the Sens are still a dumpster fire. I Agree just to hold onto the pick and roll the dice on it having a chance of becoming Jack Hughes. |
