We were adding pieces for a cup run, not a rebuild. Lapierre was great as a 4th line C, he just got pressed into a 3C role with Manny's injury and did OK.

We added a vet to a team full of vets when we added Sutter, same as Gudbranson. I would have been ecstatic to add Sutter when we added Lapierre.

Atlantic is weak, I think Buffalo could squeak out a decent season. A lot depends on how Hutton does but healthy eichel/dahlin/middlestadt could make things interesting for them. My (very) dark horse for a wild card this year due to weak division
