They're gonna suck again this year, for multiple reasons, Gillis regime, the owner, the former President, the current GM....no need to go on.
The Sedinless era is about to begin and a fresh injection of youth, in small doses, is enough to keep us all interested. - LeftCoaster
Truth is people just like to complain. Fans wanted a tear down and high draft picks. May not have been the process some wanted but results were pretty much the same. Where the team is now is where people wanted it to be. Still complaining.

See, here's the problem. First if all, it isn't well said, it is incredibly difficult to read. Secondly, there are several points which are wrong, or rediculous. It is well stated, it’s all in your perspective, and you shouldn’t comment on the post format when you have your own grammar errors, or ridiculous.
"Sure some bumps along the road getting to this point but its all positive."
-How you can agree that it's all positive when the tire fire has been blazing to Springfield proportions? Yes there are positives, but it is far from all positive. No you are correct not everything is positive, but everyone views different situations with their own interpretation. You are a pessimist that looks for anything negative in regards to the Canucks management or front office decisions. I am more apathetic and will wait before being Debbie Downer
"What we need is hockey ppl run the hockey side of the biz. Everyone else stay da fuq outta the way."
-Totally agree, but many of the decisions suggest that great hockey minds are not in charge of each different department. Examples include being fined for tampering, only interviewing one candidate for a job, bringing in people who are family friends etc. I personally have no inside knowledge of what happens in the front office, nothing, nada thing. I would hazard a guess that neither does anyone else here, and if you wish to believe what is written in print media, main stream media or social media sites, then you will make you biased, pessimistic opinions based on those speculative articles. Again I could care less about Linden, Benning or Aquilini, player contracts, what or who are paid what, and I believe that is what the author was conveying.
"This fanbase generally speaking is historically never satisfied"
- What have we had to be satisfied with? Good teams? Yippy, we're more successful than the Sharks. I’ve been satisfied with many things associated with this team over the years, I’ve been disappointed with many things over the years, it’s life and these emotions happen in all aspects of life.
" - Makita[the fans] is most of the problem along with some management being FA mostly."
- I'm sorry, the biggest problem with team success is the fans? Fans do play a role with the team, and if you follow the negative coverage it all plays some role.
"Everyone likes & wants to be a winner but very few ppl want to be a part of the pain & process."
- I've been a fan since the late 70's, pretty sure I've endured some pain along the way. Does being a fan mean you can't be critical of the organization? Awesome, it’s great you have been a fan since the late seventies, I moved to the island in 71 from la belle province, I hated the Leafs and the Habs but cheered for Chicago. I adopted the Canucks as my team but still went to every game that Chicago played at the Pacific Colosseum, talk about two awful teams back then, but still a fan. You can be critical of the team, most of the posts here are critical of the team, but I don’t think you should take nighthawks post personally or be defensive because he would rather look at things with a positive outlook than the pessimistic view of several here.
"Thats why democracy is bs & why like it or not most of us are wrong on mostly everything."
- Do I even need to comment on this? No there is no comment needed by you, it was nighthawks comment on what his impressions on this means to him, and to a certain aspect I agree on some level.
"Til ppl walk in someones shoes they know nada."
- This goes doubly for the author. And this also goes doubly for you and everyone, a post was made, I agreed with some of his thoughts and stated that. And from what I interpreted from your comments, you disagreed and felt a need to counter every statement, which is your right. Thank god there are differing opinions in life makes life so much more interesting.

Canucks will be a better team this year book it. - VANTEL
Yep things are changing post Sedins...and for the better it will show on the scoresheet.
I'm sticking by my original prediction of finishing 21-25 picking tenth. I said we would finish 26th last year and pick 6th and I was only one off each way.

Nobody seems to likes Gudbrasen. I do. If he plays like he did in the playoffs with Florida a few years ago we will be in good shape. If he can stay healthy, play big minutes and put up a handful of goals people will change their tune. I know it’s a lot of ifs but sometimes you just have to be positive. We can’t have the most games lost due to injury every year. Right? - thundachunk
I like Guddy. If healthy he'll be an impact guy physically and leadership-wise. We need that sort of thing.

You've been here long enough to know: don't criticize the team in the off season! Off season is a magical time where anything is possible. Don't let the truth get in the way.
Wait until the 2nd month of the season when everyone joins the circle of hate. When that time comes, you'll be a middle of the road optimist compared to some of the hate spewed by these off season optimists. - RealityChecker

I just prefer it be more hockey less repetition of complaints. Keep it fresh.
My thing is chemistry & line duos.
3rd wheels make it tick.
Systems as in up tempo & TG to implement
Keep drafting & developing.

I am sure a few days ago I said that I would only be willing to see the truth in December. Until then it’s hello playoffs!!!❤️❤️ - thundachunk
Christmas is a good goal to set for disappointment.

No they don't, people would rather be happy than miserable, they just wanna see some measurable on-ice progress. It'll get better, Boeser gave some hope last year, hopefully Pettersson does this year, baby steps. Maybe Quinn next year?

Where they are today (good/great prospects and a good farm) is where they should have been a couple years ago, not today. I will agree that most are happy about where we are at now, but to call people out on complaining for it taking dramatically longer than it should have due to incompetency from management and ownership, well i think people/fans have a good reason to complain.
