Not the right time imo but it depends on the cost. The Canucks D has been terrible the past couple years and they didn't change (frank) all, they're not gonna miraculously get better.
- LeftCoaster

What or who did you want them to change , and who replaces them?

You guys scream when they repair the bottom 6 and complain when they don't change the D .
They will be adding new pieces over the next three years . Woo Hughes and OJ

I'm sure they'd want youth and a first round pick. Benning isnt that stupid.

So how do you fix them then?

I'm not saying they should have done this or should have done that, I'm just counter arguing they're not very good and they're not gonna suddenly become good.

Change will happen over time, but it won't be this year.

I am willing to guess that sometime this year OJ will get a call up and stay. The change should start this year

Green will get to coach this year . He won't need to worry about hurting players feelings with not enough ice time.

Horvat and Boeser will be thrilled that now they are the top dawgs and will be the main guys on the PP

Edler will still be on the PP looking for the twins and that is why JB is looking for a guy like Krug and is thrilled about Hughes.

Sutter will step up and is going to surprise Lefty and a few others.

- VANTEL

I have concerns regarding Green, out of his element with NHL talent.

I don’t think either Horvat or Boeser had any aspirations to take over “top dawgs” last year. There were probably thrilled to learn how to become professional athletes from the Sedins.

The defense on the team will struggle greatly over the course of the year, yes maybe early successes but as games wear on so will the inept defense.

I agree with Sutter playing a better role this season, but that’s about it.

Just my opinion, responding to your comments, not saying you won’t be correct in your assessment. How’s that for a disclaimer

I wouldn't be surprised if Ottawa is seeking players to play now. They don't have their own 1st round pick and I doubt they want to give Colorado a top 5 pick. If they did trade Karlsson I could see them asking for middle age top 4 D and top 6 F.

Ryan Dzingel – Matt Duchene – Bobby Ryan
Mikkel Boedker – Jean-Gabriel Pageau – Mark Stone
Zack Smith – Logan Brown – Colin White
Magnus Paajarvi – Filip Chlapik – Tom Pyatt

Christian Wolanin – Erik Karlsson
Thomas Chabot – Cody Ceci
Mark Borowiecki – Chris Wideman

That's an ugly (frank)en line up.

Yes, but that has nothing to do with you stating you expect them to be better this year, which is what I'm commenting on.

Tryamkin Juolevi Hughes. I follow Tryamkin on instagram. He follows the Canucks and the players. He always likes the things going on with the team and the players. I hope a contract gets done next year.

I think Tanev playing 50 games instead of 42 will make the D better or Edler playing 75 instead of 70 will make us better.

Even though you might not agree Gudbrandson playing more than 52 games would make us better or a Hutton that is in shape will make us better.

Baby steps

Just need another russian or two so he's not alone. Goldy is going nowhere. Better bring over Zhukenov and Manuyakan

I’m sure that Beagle will have something to add to the locker room, he played his role perfectly that assisted with Washington winning the cup.

- VANTEL

I only like Edler-Tanev as a shutdown pair

Offense is terrible and there isn’t a safe/reliable 3rd pair either
