MacEwen?

A 4th line player that may or may not ever be anything in the NHL.

I'm talking a Getzlaf, Kopitar, Barkov, Schenn, Landeskog, Benn. Big strong hard to knock off the puck.

Taking on that contract is the equivalent of a low first. Their gonna get pounded on the return if that's the case.

Thank you sir.

Where Van has been drafting, they haven't been getting a player that plays "bigger" with skill. Gadjovich is probably the only player that seems to have much push back. Van could use a player with more size that uses it.

- manvanfan

Maybe Gadjovich will be our 'Blake Wheeler light'.

I think it reminds me of being a day late and a dollar short.

I think of what someone said if you are trying to copy someone you are already too late.

With fighting dropping out of the game and head shots being looked at differently it seems like teams are building with speed

Canucks would lose out. You open the field to 30 teams just giving up money , the competition gets a lot bigger unless we can get Ikea to give him commercials

Probably not. It is tempting though. Your whole team style changes with Karlsson and Hughes. It has been a issue for years on the Canucks

It's not a good fit with them wanting a 2019 first round pick so they don't look so stupid when Colorado selects Jack Hughes 1st overall.

Cmon Lefty you can't really plan for a 1 OA . That works about one in 3 or four years

There are some very good centers next year , not just one

Of course not, but when you've got a good chance at getting a top five pick and have to watch another team make that pick, you look like an idiot.

Cam Neely and the third overall pick for Barry Pederson ring a bell?

Ottawa is desperate to get a 2019 first round draft pick back. Benning isn't giving them his!

What does falling in the draft have to do with not picking at all? Again, Ottawa wants a 2019 first round pick, they don't have one, Benning isn't giving them his when he knows the Canucks will suck this year and they'll have another shot at a top five pick.

Benning should not give up next years first . That is a deal breaker

That's why I'm saying Ottawa won't trade Karlsson to Vancouver, because Benning won't part with his 2019 first round pick.

They need to give EK to Colorado for their first back.

You guys are arguing but agreeing at the same time. It feels personal. Perhaps Vantel doesn’t like fatties

He's advocating the Canucks trade for him and I'm simply telling him why it's not plausible.
