It depends also if Sakic feels his team can build on last season. If Tyson Jost can take that second line center spot behind Rantanen MacKinnon Landeskog then Sakic could offer Barrie and their 1st back with Karlsson Johnson and Makar on the right side.

Just spit-ballin...

I would not give up Barrie and a 1st for Karrlson. He’s gonna test free agency. Colorado would be a great fit to sign for just cash.

I wonder how many roster spots are available for the taking this training camp?

From where I stand it looks like zero again.

Nah. I’ll go Jets-Bruins

Wanted to say the Blues but I don’t trust Allen in net.

- Nucker101

This is frustrating. A few drafts ago the bruins were a laughingstock and now they are a powerhouse again in short time.

Very upsetting turn of events.

Short career , but can’t deny he was pretty great for a stretch.

I don't see Gaudette making the opening game roster, but I'm hoping like hell he does.

He was, really unorthodox style as well. Came way out to challenge shooters and would flop all over his net on a rebound shot.

Eight years 426 games, not short, Corey Schneider, as an example, is 32 and he's played 370 NHL games.

Granlund won't sell tickets . I think it is Gaudettes job to lose

To be fair, Bergeron/Marchand were still in their primes unlike the Sedins. Krejci is there while Kesler left. They had Rask too. They got their own Boeser in Pastrnak.

McAvoy poops on Juolevi though

Really it’s for the best. If they can move a player or two at the deadline, get an extra pick for the draft and bring up a couple prospects from Utica. Same next year.

Just do what’s best for the team. No one bought tickets to watch Virtanen/McCann play once it became painfully obvious that they weren’t ready.

That being said, I like Gaudette and do think he’s better than the fringe players on this roster.

I'd like to see the Canucks keep their word if Pettersson, Gaudette and Juolevi play better than some veterans by shipping out a few bodies.

This is why leaving Demko in the minors is a bad idea. Schneider should have been the starter in Vancouver from game 4 in 2011.

Picking that LHD over the RHD. I don't understand, how many chances has JB had to draft a RHD.

You can add Dahlen and Demko to that list too

I don't have much faith in Benning keeping his word though. The only reason I've seen them keep youth in recent years is to try and sell tickets.

He will do what's best for the players development. I would rather send a waiver exempt player down, then try and trade another player if they could.

Say Gaudette makes the team over Gaunce. Gaunce goes on waivers and is claimed. 5 games in Gaudette isn't cutting it. Don't have a replacement for him anymore. Why not send Gaudette down to play 20 minutes a night and if he's ready, try and trade someone to open up a spot for him.
