I expect things to get feisty this pre season. Jobs are on the line. - thundachunk
as usual, it'll be feistier in here than on the ice
everyone has their fav fringe players that they're gonna die on a hill for:
Gaunce, Granlund, Goldoibn, etc. |

You are worried about Gaunce. Yes, you are the smart one - CanuckDon
There is going to be a huge meltdown on the media when Gaunce does not make the team. The amount of fans and critics will be calling for Jim's head |

I'm not worried about Gaunce, he can take care of himself. I'm suggesting a team not give things away that they don't need to, and then have to go out and pay for a replacement for the thing they just gave away. But at the end of the day, loosing a player on waivers isn't a big deal, it's a small deal.
I laughed during COrrado gate, I'll laugh during Goldygate. |

I don't think the local media really cares about Gaunce, but I'm out of the loop since i don't listen to the radio or read the newspaper. |

If Goldy makes the team it’s a win considering Hansen is not even in the NHL anymore. I don’t think he will clear I bet Guance does. |

Did he get a penalty for his end zone celly? - 1970vintage
First he checked to see if his flag was still there. But no he didn't. |

Eight years 426 games, not short, Corey Schneider, as an example, is 32 and he's played 370 NHL games. - LeftCoaster
8 years is rather short when you consider his level of play throughout his nhl career. Games played means he was healthy and really (frank)ing good, and had next to time as bench warmer on either end of his career. Not too many players have accomplished what he has in as few years. Why try and downplay that?
Cory Schneider has 10 seasons under his belt and is still relatively young.
Pukka Rinne 11
Roberto Luongo 18
Tukka Rask 10
Mikka Kiprusoff 11
Corey Crawford 12
John Quick 10
Henrik Lundqvist 13 |

The other team would need to keep him in the NHL . If I was other teams I would be concerned about protecting their own roster instead of dumpster diving ours |

Woo doesn't have the same upside as a top 10 pick in most cases. - manvanfan
Doesn't matter if LHD or RHD, you take the best guy available. Hughes has more upside than Bouchard or Dobson. I just think Dobson is less boom or bust type. I love the Hughes pick, but wanted Dobson at the time. |

It’s going to be fun when Goblin gets claimed on waivers. Whoever says they are done with the team first wins the honarable PuckShack trophy |

Pettersen was clearly not on my radar. I was also not on the Glass train. Still not a fan of Benning but it is what it is.

Other than that until the team is good again I don't really care who comes and goes. |

I wanted a C, thought Glass was going to be the guy, and still would like to see him as a Canuck. Imagine Glass, Pettersson, Horvat and Beagle down the middle. |
