I emailed Scooby to renew our Yahoo Fantasy League but I've got no response from him, so, I'll try and set one up as a keeper league myself. 16 teams? If anyone is interested?

I don't know how to make it a keeper, where you keep like six players per year and you can only keep them for three years, but I'll figure it out.

- LeftCoaster

You can’t put in a year limit for keepers, you’d have to enforce that rule manually.

The league I do with my friends we made a rule where you get to keep 3 players, but you lose the pick in the round they were chosen. So if you

McDavid as keeper = no 1st round pick next year.

Ehlers as 4th round keeper = no 4th round pick next year

If you make trades and end up wanting to keep 2 guys who were picked in 3rd round then you lose your 2nd and 3rd round pick next year. But you can’t keep 2 players who were picked in round 1 the previous year.

And if you keep a guy you got off waivers then it only costs you your last round pick

Etc, etc..

Makes the draft more fun late since everyone wants to find a steal and makes trades/keepers more interesting. Stops anyone from ending up with Crosby and McJesus as well

If there’s enough interest in here, I’m willing to help set it up and Lefty or Scooby can be commish

They draft so well it's hard not to appreciate what they do there. Yeah when Sweeney came onboard in May of 2015 their scouting group missed on a couple picks but generally they draft well.

Just like the Flyers

They were down where we were and made big moves to pull themselves back up. Smart bloody organization.

We're picking #2 because I don't want anymore brothers on the team

Imagine if they picked Barzal and Connor though

But yeah I liked the moves they made to load up with picks

I don't think they've been bad since they won the Cup in 2011, they draft so well it's kept them relevant

Plus Bergeron/Marchand/Krejci being a younger core than Henrik/Daniel/Kesler helps as well

When was Tavares signed? Months ago right. Sportsnet still has the image from the signing ceremony still on their sites front page. Drives me crazy.

They are so pleased with themselves right now. Can’t wait until it all comes crashing down.

- bloatedmosquito

It's going to be interesting to be sure. They honestly believe that Tavares is the answer. Gonna be fun to watch.

Trading Kessel for the Seguin and Hamilton picks really helped them.

That too but if they got a better return for Seguin and didn’t pass on Barzal, they’d be stacked right now.

Sweeney is who I thought Benning would be like. I expected to love some moves and hate others, but Benning hasn’t made as many bold rebuilding moves.

Tavares brings 37 goals last year JVR left with 36 . I think they are going to miss Komorov's play and yes even Martins toughness. They were a tough team to play before , not so much now.

Oh ok.. They totally don't play the same position but your point is valid.. We'll just leave a LW position wide open and not have another player come in and contribute. Tavares will do all the scoring.

Any GM who lets the fans influence how he runs the team isn’t going to be a good GM. Some of the best GM’s in sports history were guys who were not afraid to make unpopular moves and step on some toes to improve their teams.

Yeah, not afraid to make bold moves. They had assets to move though, unfortunately Benning didn't, not of that caliber anyways.

Scary good if they'd have made a couple more good picks. Donato is gonna be a really good young player....(frank)ers

You've gotta have bullets to shoot your gun. Canucks used to make moves when they had that. Pre Gillis and Benning.
