He's still gonna score around 35 goals in Philly, which you said he wouldn't. I'm just saying I disagree with your prediction. Flyers scored 272 goals last year, Leafs 277, Philly has a very capable offensive team. - LeftCoaster
I think Philly will be good. They're deep.
He'll have the same role that he had with the Leafs.. PP in front of the net.. But he won't have as many tap-in's with Vorachek or whoever as he did with Marner.. I think he'll score 30, within a goal or two.. We like him because he does one thing well, he scores goals. But he's soft, doesn't drive play, rarely backchecks, terrible at zone entries, and bad along the boards..
Unfortunately is doesn't work that way. Guys with million dollar jobs usually don't say who cares when the job is on the line. - VANTEL
I can buy the argument now that he’s being more conservative and trying to appease Aquilini without upset the fans too much(which I agree is impossible).
The honeymoon period is exactly when a GM should feel most comfortable so I truly believe that what Benning did what he wanted to do during his first couple of seasons.

No one player is all things, well, a few are, or were. You need goal scorers, others will fill in those other roles for him. He'll do well in Philly and score 30-40 in the process.
I’m going to walk into my bosses office tomorrow and slap him. When he asks why I’ll mention that Lefty and Nucker said I shouldn’t worry what he thinks - CanuckDon
If you want to slap your boss then you should be aspiring for a better job, Donny

I will be honest , with TL and JB coming in with no experience I thought their shelf life would be 4 years. We all said it back in the day that a rebuild usually goes through 2 or 3 GMs.
I think it is that time but I do hope JB stays on and they do promote from within . I don't want to start over again
