He wants #44.
- Reubenkincade

Maybe he can fight Gudbranson for it?

Might not work out so well for Gudbranson.

Negative, he'll go on LTIR like 99.9% of all the other older players.

Who signed Zetterberg to that contract? Vancouver? Detroit? Thought so.

Who will you finish ahead of? Most people figure you’ll be dead last in the west.
- HonkyTonkMan

They will, Canucks, Sens and Red Wings will be fighting it out for dead last...this is a good thing though, in the long run!!

Wait until matthews breaks Nylanders Hymen (his winger you perv) with a wicked wrister. Then we could have another toilet contender, although I'd imagine Taveras wil drag them to 17th in the conference.

94 and 11 say otherwise.....

#betmanhatesus

For real though, if Luongo still played for us I could see it, but why would he help us out?

Because he's actually injured, his hips are wonky. That's why he missed half the season last year.

They lost a first round draft pick for that....

According to this article, it was 2 picks, a 3rd in 2011 and a 1st in 2014, plus some recapture of 250 000-300 000 for 12 years. Beats paying 77 million for those 12 years.
Also, I was wrong about Mike Richards being the only player with a recapture penalty.
The learning too be a man stuff is hard, I actually admitted to being wrong.😁

Lots of heavy equipment has been rolling in for weeks now.
Earthworks has been going fairly steady. Sounds like FID is in October.

I just saw my pictures were broken... so...

Until Luongo has retired it would be poor management to not plan for the worst but hope for the best... or whatever.

I was driving down Thurlow around Joe Fortes and this cab in front of me stops and I swear it was Tommy Chong that got out. I almost yelled to him "Hey Tommy do you have a son named Marwood?"

Detroit Mtl Ottawa and Edmonton, we drop 3 spots in lottery to pick 8th.
- Reubenkincade

No chance you finish ahead of Edmonton ...though if you like I would be happy to make a location bet with ya over it.

Same chance as a scoring leader being on a lottery team once again or 1 injury away from a shot at 1oa.

From @CraigCustance’s excellent @TheAthleticNHL piece, here’s what an anonymous player, coach and executive said about the Canucks’ chances this season:

Well. That sounds pretty accurate to me. Does this actually surprise peopleÉ

Funny, I was just looking at Crosby's first year in the league, he had 102 points and finished like 3-4-5 in league scoring yet the Penguins finished second last, one point up on St. Louis.

His second year Malkin came to over to play after spending the two years after he was drafted in the KHL, BOOM....they took off and never looked back.

Just goes to show you how important it is for Edmonton to get a good second line center behind Crosby. Doesn't have to be an elite guy like Malkin but they need one desperately or they'll flounder around as a middling team for awhile.

Draisaitl will play the majority of the season at 2C, with RNH on McDavids left. Fantasy hockey guys should look at Nuge as a sleeper for 65-70 points this a year.
