I don’t think Chicago is as bad as they were last season. Maybe. I guess we’ll see. |

team is getting shat on, I assume they expect Nilsson and/or Demko to start a decent chunk of games but still - Nucker101
Nothing management has done this off season says that Van will improve though. Just where they are right now, waiting for prospects to develop. Those numbers for the forwards are basically the same PPG numbers they had last year. Markstrom with less wins then last season.

Totally agree with this...
From @CraigCustance’s excellent @TheAthleticNHL piece, here’s what an anonymous player, coach and executive said about the Canucks’ chances this season:

I’ll take the Yotes and Hawks(if Crawford is healthy) over the Nucks
Sabres should be better but their depth/goalies still suck ass
I’ll take the Canucks over the Sens and Wings for sure, if Price returns to Vezina form then the Habs will be a lot better just from being in so many close games |

It's disgraceful that you didn't get 100 % of your selections correct. What's wrong with you man.

Maybe you should.
There wasn't a general consensus, that's for sure. - manvanfan
I found the thread, there were a lot of very disapointed people. Vantel, classic and ASL called it (2 were happy). Not suggesting you are incorrect about the ratio, just fun times reading back on the hysteria. |

Yeah, I don't know, I don't keep a book
I just remember the hype was for 1. Glass and then a couple other C's, Vilardi and Mittelstadt maybe? - 1970vintage
Cody Glass put up 37 goals 102 pts last year it is not like he is Swiss cheese and he is a center. |

Yeah, I’m glad the Canucks chose EP but Glass is a great prospect.
It’s not like the Canucks dodged a bullet. |

I thought Habs were going to do more this year but I doubt if MaxPax will be with them long and they really don't have scoring or D |

Yeah, but Crawford is really underrated. Top 10 goalie that bails out their shoddy defense.

Weber being out + Pacioretty/Galchenyuk traded.
The goals will be hard to come by
same with Ottawa without Hoffman/Karlsson |

You make it sound like anyone taking Glass was out to lunch on their projection of him as a player. He is going to be a fine NHL center. Something that we need |

I just want to see him become a consistent beast on the forecheck and provide secondary scoring in the bottom 6 |

No, you have mis-read the thread. Minivan suggested that Glass was over rated at #12 on the list, I only pointed out Glass was (I thought) the consensus choice by Canuck fans.
I also wanted Glass (happy to have Pettersson), and even suggested trading Horvat to Vegas at the deadline. |

EP had been my pick from December on that year. (Yes, it's in the book)
Ratio changes a lot, depending on the day. I had vantel written down for Glass a few days prior. DCT wanting Mittelstadt and Lefty wants to trade down. Rueben also thought Vilamaki should be top 5.
Vantel was right in choosing Sbisa to VGK though. |
