The make up of Van's defenders just don't work together.

Oddly enough, I had Hughes as the 4th best player in the draft. I just think Van needs a minute munching defensive men that will shut down other teams top lines and improve the PK.

It was like getting Torey Krug over Charlie McAvoy.

Really if we are looking at the future it potentially could be quite good. Right now it’s not horrible either. I think if Tryamkin would come back and we made a couple of the right moves we would be in great shape.

I do think this team will be faster and better defensively. We have been sifting out older slower players .I am expecting better results

Going back to comments earlier in this tread about what is going to happen that I agree with is the teams struggle for identity and leadership now that the Sedins are gone. If coaching is bad I feel this will hurt us more than anything. We either need to bring a high end true leader someone that can come in and command the room and the ice. Is that someone in the room now? Green has his work cut out for him.

The future is looking brighter for the defence but as for right now. A change or two could make this defence look much better/different.
