I'm 32 and my father is 64.

Can you believe my wife. I made supper for her this evening (I usually do the cooking). She's unhappy because I made Bacon wrapped chicken breasts, bacon and broccoli and perogies and bacon. How could she be unhappy with that.

32, well that explains everything

If you keep having bacon wrapped everything and a dozen donuts we will be calling you Hefty .

- VANTEL

That probably won't happen to me. I keep in shape.

this place has hit a new low.

we've dissected the team, the farm and players that have left.
we've debated the coaches, GM and the owner adnauseam.
we've discussed political leanings, cars, wives and even fcuking baseball.

Now we're disclosing our ages...good gawd.

I have no idea how I became a fan of the Canucks. I think it was when they lost in the finals in 94'

as a kid i grew up with our cities footy team a dynasty and now considered one of the greatest all time for the sport. think i took that for granted for a long time.

I don't doubt it. I had to start putting in a bit of effort after 30. I now don't leave the gym until one bead of sweat appears.

rugby league ala toronto wolfpack

if you're from New South Wales or Queensland - footy = league

if you're from Victoria - footy = Australian rules football

soccer = soccer

The game has changed in the last 4 years so keep up or get squashed . Not the first player in the history of hockey that had to change his game.
- VANTEL

So JB didn’t see the change and he traded for a historical artifact?

Why trade for a player who skills don’t match today’s game?

Exactly, if you are a bottom 6 player or 3rd pairing dman and you aren’t constantly trying to improve you will be out of the league pretty quick. It’s a young mans game now

the balance is swinging but his skills can still be useful

probably rather we didnt make that trade but i get it

he's shown his best for about 1/2 a dozen games i'd say. like many other players on this team he needs to start doing that more nights than not. and not get injured.

we had some good team d for stretches the last couple of seasons when fully healthy. that's what jb is banking on (perhaps foolishly) outside of karlsson (perhaps also foolishly).

TBH I don’t think it’s his choice to “start doing it more nights than not”. I think the reason why he doesn’t play that way most nights is because he can’t. His good nights will be an anomaly not the norm.
