Going to be a very different season - Nighthawk
That hasn't been determined yet except for Pettersson, who we can pencil in for sure, other than that, nothing's for sure.
I'm seriously hoping Pettersson, Juolevi and Gaudette make it though, I'm also hopeful Dahlen pushes one of the nine poop forwards from last year out the door!! |

I'm just saying, i do believe some fans do fall into the category of "tie goes to the veteran" just so they don't the vet on waivers. Personally, I'd give the spot to the younger player if it's a toss-up.
We've seen that plenty of coaches and GM's certainly do. - Nucker101
Depends on whether they're exempt IMO. Should always be trying to get vets to play themselves into tradable commodities. That's just good asset management |

Yeah, true enough
Sedins + Vanek + Dorsett gone
Beagle + Schaller + Roussel + EP in - Nucker101
Exactly. The chances of those guys getting 150 points... zero. |

Not really. Vanek played himself into being tradable. Same with Hansen. Burrows... no idea how JB got that kind of return, his best trade IMO. |

I did notice a lot of fanbases are unhappy with their teams being too soft, even more so than in years past. We know fighting is down league wide, but I was curious about hits so I tried looking it up. They've gradually gone down year by year just like fighting.
2014/2015 = 50 hits per game
2017/2018 = 40 hits per game
Edit: Playoff hits are still up though, not as high as playoff hits used to be either, but they still climb up to 65 hits per game. Apparently back in the day some playoff games would get close to 100 hits. So you do still need some pushback in the post-season especially. |

Still no even close. Green did a good job of limiting the Sedin's 5v5. Vanek was productive and was not as much of a liability. Those points aint coming back with the exception of EP who I think will get 50+. Where does the other 100 come from? |

Vanek played better than Hansen & Burrows put together & fetched what? 😂
So now its LE untradeable & Sutter Beagle Roussel Schaller that make themselves tradable assets? Don’t see it |

This I do like. Roussel I'm interested in watching for sure. Bit of a rescue dog, which has not worked for us very often, but I'm optimistic. |

The thing about Roussel is that he has a Burrows type of mentality with Dorsett's physicality, I don't think he's known for stepping up to fight for teammates, he's usually the one who gets challenged to fight since he runs around stirring poop up. He's going to be fun to watch though.
Schaller doesn't fight often, but he's more of a "fight for your teammate" type of guy. |

I don't see it either, but if eriksson has 15-20 goals by the TDL (which he is capable of even if we all hate him) he could be dealt. Edler I think will get moved this year. I think it's possible Gagner returns to form a bit if he finds his PP game. Hutton...? nah, who am I kidding. You're right though, not much else that could play themselves into tradable... even the ones we do have seems unlikely. I'd waive LE in a heartbeat if he doesn't have a good camp though. Let him finish out in Utica. |

Well yeah, if we lose players to waivers to start and then have to call up lessor players due to poor asset management I'll be pissed. |

146 points, my bad off by four... so ya. and I didn't ignore anything, I said Green was smart and gave them more offensive zone and power play than anyone on the team to avoid getting burned. He didn't play them nearly as much 5v5 last year, Sutter and Bo took the bulk of 5v5 time. |

It's just wishful thinking that if they ask him he will agree to go. It's not that difficult, if you ask him and negotiate with his agent, maybe he does it. None of the other payers i mentioned have a NTC. |

You ignore all their TOI has to spread around somewhere. 146pts isn’t nearly as much as you would have us believe. |
