I'd bet OJ is penciled in to start in Utica. His waiver eligibility at the start of the season, plus depth for injury coverage, stacks the odds against him...though I agree with a number of other posters that he will be an early call-up when one of the other D are hurt.

It will be up to Bo, Boeser & Pettersson to be the poster boys as "the new hope" in selling tickets to start the season...

Ya for sure. They're at a level where they have enough prospects where whoever is playing well will get the call. I wouldn't call it depth quite yet as we really don't have 6 nhl calibre dmen. But honestly as early as next year I see this as a very different team in terms of who we have/depth. Hughes and year in Utica plus another likely top5 pick into lineup to me might put us as a possible bubble team depending on how Demko looks.

Play EP on his more comfortable wing.
JV plays both already. Hutton & Tanev with them most of the time.

Pettersson needs to play center, not necessarily this year, or this team is (frank)ed for a few more years until they get a very good 1/2 center punch. IMO Benning has him penciled in as a center for the future.
