Suzuki(19), Poehling(19) and Kotkaniemi (18), pretty decent depth at center now
- Symba007

All they need is a single NHL game among them

Suzuki was the obvious main piece to this deal, Tatar is a nice throw in who will fill some the offensive void left by Pacioretty and eventually get dealt for more picks and prospects.. Unless Suzuki turns out to be a bust, this was a real strong deal for Bergevin, I guess he was due...

That would be great but I don't see it happening for awhile, Weber will go before Price I would think

Toronto doesn't have a good young D they would be willing to trade for him, which you have to think the Habs would be looking for

Happy with the trade. Suzuki is a good prospect, a 2nd is nice, not a fan of Tatar but I wasn't expecting much more after MB destroyed Patches value.

hopefully yes. with Weber out long term, Pacioretty now gone, unless Price has a repeat of his MVP season this team is going to be absolutely terrible.

I agree, he's better than Skinner. But everyone knew Montreal wanted to move him and wasn't gonna sign him.

Getting back a good prospect + pick + potentially another guy you guys can flip for another pick isn't a bad return considering those circumstances.

pretty much agree. but i assume the idea is that if Tatar produces, he's another piece they can deal off.

They need at least another "horrible" season and I'm ok with that... And even if Price stands on his head, this is not a playoff team... On a side note, I really hope they send Suzuki back and not force him into the lineup in an attempt to justify this trade

i do think it's unlikely Price plays well enough to move the needle much. this team was going to have a miserable time scoring goals even with Pacioretty returning to previous form. i also think they're going to have an issue with Price. i cannot imagine he is thrilled with the direction they seem to be headed.
