Not sure if you're being serious or not, and normally I wouldn't put ANY stock whatsoever into the TCT. But considering a decent amount of those players is where the rebuild started, I gotta be honest, I'm a little uneasy after the tournament. I could be wrong and please someone jump in here, but shouldn't some of these players almost have dominated this thing?

the real test is training camp against real pros

this tourney is fun cause we are starving for hockey but it means jack shat

I have said the same thing about some of our guys in the past. But what do we know about the other teams prospects? All of the players in this tournament are at the point where they are hoping to make the jump to the NHL. While not all of them were 1st round selections, they are all the top level prospects for their respective teams. Really the line-ups should be at least as competitive with each other as their parent clubs are.

Every year I look at our prospect pool rankings and think they’re underrated. Then every year we get destroyed at Traverse City and our AHL team sucks and I realize I know nothing about prospects.

Meh, like mrn said its a bunch of guys getting thrown together that haven't played together. Its fun for us to watch some hockey, but I would put way more stock in training camp.

That too.

When he's healthy I really like him as a 6th defenseman.

a 4th rounder isn't really a big deal, if he's going to be a deterrent against players taking liberties on our young guys than it's worth it

I like it as long as he is healthy. The Islanders look like they signed or traded for every 4th liner over the summer. Pre-season will be interesting. We play them twice?
