Everybody has been on board, we all knew they were lucky to make the playoffs last year and nobody said they would this year. Sunday's game was all out terrible and none expected that. - SABRES 89
With all due respect 89, when I posted my prediction 10 days ago, there were replies with 10-6 records ....i.e. win both against Jets and Dolphins, the go 6 and 6 with balance of schedule, others were 9-6 forecasts.
No one said 3-13, lowest was like 6-10.
There are 15 games left and any one of the above could come true, to be sure.
I think I'm closer to the truth, and yesterday's feableness on O was what I envisioned...I had thought 13 points will be the average of their scoring prowess.
The D's complete failure was not anticipated by me, I will give you that. |

I never said we would go 10-6, that's is a joke no chance in hell. We have been drafting Defense for over 10 god damn years now, it's seems we still haven't got it right. Never addressed the O line . |

nice post
I don't see the reason to sign murphy and star long term if this was the plan
that extra 18 mil in cap space looks a lot better then what we will have - homiedclown
I think they realized:
-Kyle Williams is done after this year, and they need to have a guy to stop the run...hence Star.
-Jerry Huges, WTF is he going to be...a 10-12 sack guy, or 5? Get Murphy to put on the other side to releave the focus on him.
Clearly, the D is a poop show...i think Frazier gets it figured out ... hopefully soon. |

Where did i say you?
That wasnt the inference
As far as the O line..,Hell O in general...I agree with you...but refer back to my post before...I dont think you read the B, C, D and E lines. IMO, those are the reasons. |

I was an optimist expecting a fringe top 10 D - homiedclown
I get it, I do...you were/are not alone.
I just dont think adequate consideration was given for how bad the O was going to be by most.
The D needs to hold teams to far, far below 20 pts for any kind of hope IMO.
I really believe they will average 13 pts this year ... arent going to win many with that stat line |

A rebuild in which it is known:
A) the QB selected needs a full year of being coached-up until he is ready to be thrown to the wolves. That was and still is the opinion of most knowledgeable analysts.
B) this year was going to suck totally suck since there were faf too many holes to fill and no money to buy FA's due to $50m in dead cap space.
C) a team that collected 10 picks in the upcoming draft to fortify several holes
D) A team that realizes their draft position will be verg high when it has all these picks available
E) a team that realizes next season it will have one of the largest Cap spaces available in FA to spend to fortify several holes
F) a team that is trying to TIme the arrival of A, C, D and E above in view of B above.
I am astounded by the apparent new realization by many posters that this roster sucks and therefore the team's performance is going to really suck bad, like historically Bills bad..i.e 3-13. You all got blinded by the annual Hope Campaign the Bills have been selking during each preseason for the past 15 years.
You are right that the Bills should trade aging veterans like Shady this season and acquire more draft capital to give them more flexibity to trade back and up to fill several holes with high quality selections. But I stated that last year too.
Welcome aboard - IonSabres

Darnold threw a pick sixki on first NFL pass so there's that. - Hatboro_Swords
But then he responded well the rest of the game
Clearly, he’s ready for NFL action |

Kyle Williams says many times Adolphus Washington busts his a$$ in every practice
glad we moved him for a scrub on D - homiedclown
I liked Washington at times last year too
Is he being scapegoated?
Or has he just not played well? |

That’s what I’m thinking too
But ever since Darius was traded,
our run defense has been mostly terrible
So clearly guys aren’t getting the job done
We’ve got tons of holes/question marks on this team
We should look better as the year moves along
But with the schedule we have,
it’s gonna be a rough start
I’m still thinking around 5 wins
And the top priority should be to do what’s best for Allen’s development
Don’t rush him in
Play him when he’s ready |

Allen doesn't touch the field if I had my way
let our next coach work with him in 2019 |

If that is really the priority, they never should have carried only two quarterbacks that are younger than 24 years of age.

Homie, I felt the same way, but those guys are at low impact positions.
Star - paid but not a game changer
Murphy - paid but coming off an injury
V David- paid and healthy scrathed?
Maybe it is a total tanker moves.

Seriously any vet, even McCarron, so Allen can see what it takes, even if he's the starter, he(McCarron) might not be good enough, but he knows what it takes to play in the league.
That's why I think Tyrod was a shrewd move for the Browns. Everyone knows what he is, an extremely hard working, very average QB. Mayfield can watch and see what he needs to do prep-wise for a year, learn good habits, and combine that with his natural talent. |

I saw the Bill's as a .500 team or above.
9-7 , possibly 10-6
On paper the defense looks pretty awesome.
Best secondary in decades.
Hughes has shown flashes
Edmund's picked 16
Milano looked good last year
1 more year of kyle
Sign Murphy and star.
Thought the d would keep us in every game.
Win the close ones with discipline |
