There's one thing that may make Weber more appealing for trades. His contract was front loaded money-wise. He's made most of the money on it.
So a team like Phoenix or Ottawa could him for a cap-hit of 7.8M while only paying him 1-2 millions and he'll still be alot better than a 1-2M D. - Fredo
i think Weber is absolutely movable. the injuries have killed his value but i still think even with that contract, he's an attractive piece. Price is here until the lockout. |

Plenty of teams would like to add Shea (frank)ing Weber to their team. No question about it. |

it's a good year to be terrible...great prospects for the next draft - Symba007
if Price plays the way he did last year or even close to it, they will finish dead last. |

assuming the plan is to be poopty and actually rebuild, i would say yes he actually had a good offseason. because this team is going to be (frank)ing terrible. - DoubleDown
AgrEEd.
But this team might be less horrible ...or maybe a tad more fun to watch compared to last year |

Weber will be 36 when the Habs will be back on the upswing, his value is only gonna decrease over that time... Not saying they will trade him, just that they should - obie

They seem to be headed in the right direction, that alone makes it more fun to watch, regardless of the immediate results on the ice |

They can roll 4 lines of guys in between a 2nd-3rd line role up front, even if they manage to score a few goals, that defense.. |

It'll be interesting to see what all the new guys can do at the very least.
Also looking forward to an improved role for Mete, Juulsen, Scherbak this season.
Plenty of guys can do much better than they did last year. Lehkonen, Hudon, Drouin....
Another poor result, another high pick, and we'll bounce back to being a good team sooner than later.

They lost Tavares but still have a better center line than us. |

I'm sure Claude Julien will open up the game with all those kids in the line-up.
Lol prepare yourselves for 20 minutes of Plekanec. |

Looking forward to see what Reilly can do full time as well, he's kind of the forgotten man on the D but I think he can be part of the solution long term in Montreal

There is just one thing they need to understand. Losing is one thing, but at least, can you be entertaining?
Nothing more entertaining than a losing team that's trying to trap the other team to sleep. |

My prediction : Scherbak doesn't start the year in the AHL or as the extra-forward |

Well, they should be a fast team...if Julien doesn't double shift Byron Froese and doesn't ask them to dump and chase every entry.
One guy I'm curious to see is Matthew Peca...I think he could be another Byron. |

Well...he probably won't because he needs to go through waivers if they want to send him down. |
