So he's good enough to play in the KHL as an 18 year old but not good enough to make team Russia junior eh?
- Scabeh

He's playing 6 minutes a night in the KHL. Plus the Russians always stack their team with the oldest players possible.

There is just one thing they need to understand. Losing is one thing, but at least, can you be entertaining?

Nothing more entertaining than a losing team that's trying to trap the other team to sleep.

- stinger67

If I may.

Any fan that is satisfied with a loss because he/she was entertained, needs their (frank)ing head examined..

Well, they should be a fast team...if Julien doesn't double shift Byron Froese and doesn't ask them to dump and chase every entry.

One guy I'm curious to see is Matthew Peca...I think he could be another Byron.

- stinger67

A few potentially very interesting players to watch for sure. And I'm curious to see if the addition of Ducharme will actually influence Julien's coaching style, and to what extent

I feel comparables are needed here, we will also need to establish a conversion chart for players playing in lower tier leagues.

We did lose our chart expert when 3M left the site.

I was just saying that it's not only that they are bad, but on top of it they are boring to watch.

Not the point I was trying to make. There was a discussion this morning on radio about people letting their Habs season tickets go because of how poor the games are in entertainment value.

I can assure you that if they were winning, those very same people would not be letting their tickets go..

You're absolutely right.. I think the only difference from last year is they seem to be taking the necessary steps to truly commit to building it right, I expect the results on the ice to be pretty much the same as last year and losing is not entertaining, to me anyways

I think it's about things like always being scored on really early in a period, or just simply getting discouraged, and not giving any effort when they're down 2 goals. Losing always sucks, but there are certain elements that make it even more unbearable.

C'est définitivement l'aspect que je crains le plus pour cette équipe. J'espère que Bergevin ne vas pas s'asseoir sur ses lauriers en pensant qu'il a déjà fait du bon boulot, il se doit d'améliorer la défensive, c'est évident.

I think his point is that, from best to worse scenario:

Exciting win
Boring win
exciting loss
boring loss

We were definetely in the "boring losses" for most of last season and we might go up to "exciting losses" this season.

A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION PETE!
