I completely agree but this time it wasn't a poopty decision but it was clearly the right move and the return was real decent to boot! Obviously we'll never know what actually went down and it really doesn't matter, I'm just really surprised in the haul he got back!

But MB and the Habs decided they were not going to sign Patches, so to come out and say Patches wanted a trade after they decided to not offer a contract (and by default state they are going to trade him) just makes MB and GM seem disingenuous.

But at this point I don't care anymore.

All I know is MB and GM have turned this team in to a cluster(frank) laughing stock, and if it was not for the Sens, they'd be the biggest joke in the NHL right now.

All true but in all reality, they are one lucky lottery bounce away from being extremely deep at C and worst case, they pick in the top 10 again and maybe grab a D... I'm in no way a fan of what Bergevin has done in his tenure but the Suzuki acquisition has the potential to speed up the rebuild in a big way, could end up being the trade he's most remembered for and that's saying a lot!! And he still has lots of other assets he'll be moving in the next 24 months...
