ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Josh Allen has been named the Bills' Week 2 starter against the Chargers.

Coach Sean McDermott really didn't have a choice. Nathan Peterman has been an unmitigated disaster in two starts, throwing five interceptions in one half against the Chargers last year before completely face-planting Week 1 against the Ravens. Peterman was seeing ghosts before he was yanked in the third quarter. Allen led a field goal drive versus Baltimore while completing 6-of-15 passes for 74 yards. The Chargers are on the D/ST streaming radar for Sunday.

trade watkins for a player and a pick

player is gone

trade darby for a player and a pick

player is gone

we have 2 players I think on this roster whaley drafted, miller and shaq

no long term planing by this gm and coach

the wood dead cap, can't control that but all this dead cap they have was their choosing

and the jets will have a lot more cap space then the bills for the 2019 free agents

- homiedclown

I would say that their long term planning is the key here and think they are doing well. Shedding players they don't want here and suffering now with the dead cap space this year and really start to move forward next year. With 10 picks next year and $90m+ in cap space it seem they are 100% planning long term. If we can trade Shady, that will put us right there with the Jets in terms of cap space (in addition to the pick we would get in return).

The biggest issue right now is the O-line. Our cap for the o-line is $14.5m. Compare that to NYJ which is $36m+ or the Cowboys who are over $40m and it is ridiculous.

I really hope he doesn't get killed out there. That O line is about as protective as the Mexican border.

I'm excited that this team has the depth to keep the Matt Tennysons and Seth Griffiths from making the roster. And perhaps the Bowl-Us and the Larssons.

The Sabres employed 5 players last season that have not been picked up by NHL clubs for this coming season.

Victor Antipin
Josh Gorges
Benoit Pouliot
Justin Falk
Jacob Josefson

Neat.

Antipin wanted to stay in the NHL and his rights were confirmed to be shopped prior to not providing a QO.

Josefson I believe wanted to go back to Sweden, especially after realizing there was no way he was making over a bill here.

I'm not doing the research, but I think Calgary is the only other team to release as many bums as the Sabres.

Perhaps the Kings as well?

It was Nelson's burner account, so once he shows up, Bogo will just pull his own ACL and be out the year.
