What if they do?

Jeremy Bracco has a performance bonus as well.. Not saying he'll make the team, but the Leafs need to be ready just in case..

- PatC80

again, all they have to do is not use the LTIR. If they spend to the cap they can use it for the Bonuses.

we should start a pool to guess what rare condition Marleau suddenly comes down with that makes him unable to play after this season
- senstroll

that's easy... they just have him wear Hossa's infected equipment for a couple of games...

but in all seriousness.. CAP is going to go up again, Gardner's hit and Hainsey's CAP hit are going to go away...

Am i the only one that believes the leafs D is fine as it is? and that we dont need to upgrade it externally? Having the C depth that we do is just as good as teams with good D and average C depth. Im of the belief our C's will give teams enough fits line matching and that will cover most of the D's issues. I just dont see it being as big a deal as some are making it out to be.

in the particular case of Bracco... he's going to be a great trade chip come pre-trade deadline time frame...

American kid, New York area, and really the Leafs core makes him expendable.

We should all be hoping he starts to dominate scoring wise in AHL...

It will come out of left field beause he looks pretty healthy.

The jock strap itch by Hossa was pretty good.

The back of zetterberg wasn’t as bad, but someone how he could play all of last year and now all of a sudden can’t work out or walk or something.

I dont think its as bad as almost everyone says. Hopefully Z is back to nornal and Dermott takes a step forward. that will fill in some of the hole

I think it won't be a problem during the regular season.

But in the playoffs, where teams simply do not score as much as they usually do, you need to win those tight one goal games.... and the Leafs will need an upgraded defense to do so.

The series vs Boston proved that much.

That's of course, just my opinion.

If I was Dorion

Erik Karlsson to the Avs for Ott 1st rounder, Col 1st rounder (condition that he -resigns), Cam Morrison and Tyson Barrie

Mark Stone to the Devils for 1st rounder, Pavel Zacha and Steven Santini

Matt Duchene to the Sabres for SJ 1st rounder, STL 1st rounder and Zemgus Girgensons

fine... Bergevin will send the corpse of Shea Webber to the Leafs for a yet to named late round pick and a french Canadien prospect at the TDL - with 2.5M retained. Weber kills penalties and plays reduced minutes in Toronto for the end of the 2018-19 season and playoffs.

Nashville's on the hook if he retires... Leafs bring Lou back for the contract negotiation and for establishing Weber's spot on Robidas/Lupul Island.

all good.

While the return you're suggesting is laughable.

I've been saying for a while adding Shea Weber to the Leafs would make them just that much stronger.

I hope it never happens.

And I can't be bothered to look it up, if any make the Leafs it'll be 4th line duty.
Won't be making any bonuses from there.
