The athletic had a bunch of different bottom-6 lineups. One was
Nylander-Aplund-Thompson
Erod-Berglund-Pominville
Not that would expect it, but that would be a fun team to watch grow - jcragcrumple
I did a lineup with sheary-asplund-nylander on the 3rd line
bailey-e-rod-baptiste on the 4th line
if the goal is speed, time to turn the page on some of our scrubs |

Can't do it. Just think of the chilling effect it would have on the 10th-worst PK.

Chris Hajt will stay with the team to be in the crow's nest and provide additional insight. Steve Smith will be on the bench.
Hajt clearly overwhelmed last year. They must really like him and want him to develop to keep him in a reduced role rather than straight up letting him go. |

TBN Sports: Initially, how will you manage him in terms of partners and minutes? Will he shuffle through partners during camp or get set up with one guy and stick?
Housley: He's going to see different partners. We've looked at that very hard already. Right now in the first couple days, we'll put Jake McCabe on the right side with Rasmus. It's a good fit for him to start with and for both of them really. It will allow Rasmus the freedom. Jake is a stable defensive player but he'll jump in the play as well and remember he was the first defenseman to score for us last year. We're just trying to give a little bit more of a veteran look for Rasmus and they'll get the chance to create chemistry right away.

If one of Risto or Dahlin are on the ice for 40 minutes a game as a team we are better then if they are paired together. Also playing them together restricts Risto into that stay at home role when he’s a better player up in the rush. I like the idea of Dahlin with McCabe and Risto with Scandella. |

Don't know if anyone seen it when I posted it a few days ago, the Stars wanted to offer Seguin for the rights to draft Dahlin. Sabres said no. |

Yeah that's a no for me dawg
Seguin is great, but there isn't a package in the world that would get me to pass up on Dahlin.
Well actually I am sure there is one but it would have to be something insane. |

Thank God
Love me some Seguin, but that's a no brainer. Forget the level of skill, in a cap era, you don't trade a #1OA for an about to be 27 year old center. |

I am now. Will always root for someone to beat addiction and Bi-polar. It’s a deadly combo, that I personally deal with - sbroads24

I never actively root for former Sabres to fail, but this will be one of the few times I root for them to succeed.
After reading this, it explains a lot and it makes a lot more sense of his time here.
I also really appreciate that Botterill still reaches out to him. It shows the team is in good hands, at least from a personal standpoint with his players. |

It would take an offer of something like Stamkos and Hedman for him to make me really think about it.
All I know is I am excited to watch this team for the first time in a long time. |

Mike Harrington really is a piece of work.
Put up an article about the Lehner thing, but 80% of it is direct quotes from the article itself. Yes, he does reference the article in his, but he basically just copied the majority of it and added in small little paragraphs of his own that really don't matter. What a freaking joke. |

I said this as well. I think the fact that he's still there checking in shows that players can come to him and he'll support them. He could have just as easily washed his hands of him after they decided not to resign him.
And not resigning him makes so much more sense now. I think Botts knew Lehner needed to fresh start all the way around. He never would have gotten that here. |

I did not see that. But there are a few obvious reasons why you say no. We need a franchise D man and how do you get one if you make this deal?
Second, entry level vs ~$10m per? this year. No thanks.
Also, I am not sure you trade 1st overall. If you "win" it, not sure you would want to trade that, for almost anything. |
