he might have had a say on the qb switch

Somebody should have... how you expect to compete with peterman is beyond me... he’s the worst QB the bills have ever had... and that saying something.

I'm not one to right off Peterman yet as being a serviceable qb in the NFL. I can see any QB in the league having problems playing with this offense. There are 34 offensive linemen in the league making more than our top 5 combined. Just over $9m for our 5 starters when teams are spending over $30m for their front 5. Add the fact that many experts have claimed that Buffalo has the worst receiving corps in the league, and I really don't see how anyone can expect any QB to come in here and have success. $90m+ and 10 draft picks next year should be the focus now, and not getting our highest ever drafted QB killed this year.

I didn't think so either. There's questions for all 3. Are the Cards going to lean on Johnson? Is Newton going to keep stealing goalline carries from McCaffrey? Is Barkley going to live up to the hype? I went with the depth of Johnson and McCaffrey over the big hit of Barkley because my RB depth is not good, especially once/if Bell comes back.
- Wetbandit1

What?
One person was getting David Johnson & McCaffrey
and the other was getting only Barkley?

I’d have Vetoed that trade too

Even if u wanna say Barkley > DJ
(even though everywhere has it ranked the other way around)
the difference certainly isn’t McCaffery
No way

Unless there’s other pieces involved in that trade, there’s no way it was fair

I heard the bills were kicking the tires for mack

was told what it would take, bills counters
raiders held firm

discussions were made with pegula and the bills staff

peggy wanted to pull the trigger, they talked him out

and boy was he pissed monday, between the bills game, and mack's game

- homiedclown

If it was going to cost next years 1st plus another I would talk him out of it too. The Bills are going to suck absolutely and have a top three pick this year and I would not trade that for a 27 year old pass rusher no matter how good he is. This team needs some studs on offense now or they are going to linger in suck ass.

https://www.sportsnet.ca/...dy-leafs-captaincy-asked/
Austin Matthews says he “is ready for the captaincy of the Maple Leafs.”

Babcock names Marleau, Tavares and Reilly as A’s. No captain.

Suck it, Matthews!

A very good post.
You are on point with your observations.
Many fans want to compete this year, compete for what Im not sure.
This roster is brutally bad, it has absolutely zero chance of competeing, except for last place...and the worste record in franchise history

Another post I agree with.

Fans need to take the medicene 15 more times this season.
Brace for 2-4 wins this season, but get a top 5 pick, maybe higher.

Should’ve added the stopper

20 point losses under Rex Ryan - 0
20 point losses under McDermott - 6

Not that I want to completely defend McDermott, but this means nothing to me. Only the win column matters.

Purely hypothetical, but I would rather go 10-6 with every loss by 30 points than 8-8 with every loss by less than a touchdown.

Moral victories suck.

It was a baaaaaad Sharks/Sens type trade.... it was vetoed for good reason.

It was D. Johnson, McCaffrey, and Marquese Goodwin for Barkley, Robbie Anderson, and Tarik Cohen.

It was the right call for a commish to veto that one.

Khalil Mack is a top 3 pass rusher in this league.

The Bills need a pass rusher.

BUT, the price to get him and what his cap hit will be is not what the Bills can handle right now.

The OL is a mess, they have no WRs worth a damn, they need a #2 corner, and on top of that they can basically draft a version of Mack when they pick in the top 3 this year.

Peggy needs to cool it. They have so much dead cap this season, and will have a ton of cap space next season.

Play Allen the rest of the way.

Get him a halfway decent OL (the OL wasn't very good pass blocking last year either)

Trade Shady for the best offer you can get if they get beat up on again.

Rebuild

The Bills screwed themselves making the playoffs last year. It was fun short term, but if they didn't have a winning record coming trade deadline last year Benjamin wouldn't be here.

They thought they could be a similar team this year...we will know more after this weekend but I highly doubt they will nothing more than a 4 win (at most) team
