Wait what?
I have it on very good authority from Sens fans that the Sens are trading Karlsson for Ott 1st, Colorado 1st, Barrie and Makar. - Aetherial
The difference between the hoped upon return for Karlsson and the actual return for him is pretty hilarious. |

There is no defense against that kind of experience and execution.

That difference, if it could be quantified, would be a number so large that it would only have meaning in astrophysics.

It is.
Reminds me of when the Canucks had the "two best goalies in the world" and traded both for peanuts but spent months thinking they were getting filet mignon

Wait what?
I thought they get Kadri, Gardiner and a 1st for Luongo. For sure Gillis wasn't just going to give him away. They was a hockey trade! |

Here's the bizarre thing:
If Karlsson had agreed to a contract extension, I would have gladly agreed to Gardiner, Willy Ny and a 1st. I still think that's a good deal for the Leafs.
Instead, San Jose dealt basically a 1st, and 2nd and a giant load of poop.
It's franking bizarre. |

I still have faith in Brendan Gaunce.. I think he'll turn a corner this year. Only 24 and coming off a career high, 6 point season. |

I really really like the look of Juolevi, the former 5th overall pick.
I thought they would've been suckered into drafting Sergachev, McAvoy, Keller or Tkachuk.
I'm very glad they stuck to their guns. |

Exactly, good on the Canucks.
Juolevi is the only player in the top 11 of that draft, to not have played an NHL game yet..

You're thinking the short game too much.
Expand your horizon's and thing long term.
There's literally nothing to suggest that Juolevi can't become nearly half the defenseman that Sergachev and McAvoy will be. |

I think The Senators will sell nearly 10's of seasons tickets sometime over the next 5 years.
