To be fair, one does not simply walk into the Nucks defensive group. Not when you have the likes of Tanev (best player to never have won a Norris), Elder, Stetcher, Erik "Gudbranson for Marner and a 1st" Gudbranson, Tinky Winky, Dipsy, La La and Woo

If Karlsson had agreed to a contract extension, I would have gladly agreed to Gardiner, Willy Ny and a 1st. I still think that's a good deal for the Leafs.

Instead, San Jose dealt basically a 1st, and 2nd and a giant load of poop.

there's only one issue with this assertion... guys like Stamkos, Hedman and Kucherov appear to be taken "home town discounts"... I'm not so sure that those guys would welcome someone all of sudden showing up and making 11-12Million.

In Toronto all kinds of ridiculous locker room controversies are bubbling according to the "highly esteemed" media hacks... why would Tampa be immune? While the tax rate is of course a huge determining factor... I don't suppose it affects controversies.
