And many of things didn’t happen last year for us that we thought could be “reasonable” accomplishments?

There isn't turmoil. Of course Matthews wants more ice time and Babs wanted more from Matthews in the playoffs. I would be more concerned if they didn't talk at all this summer. Also the captaincy is the media trying to create fodder. Matthews is going to be the captain after he signs his extension. Toronto actually has a championship calibre team and the fans and media dont know what the (frank) to do lol.

If Tavares or Reilly were to be named captain it would of happened by now. I just dont think its a good idea to give a captaincy to a player about to negotiate his first real long term contract. Its leverage the team has over the player. Even if I'm full of poop, Matthews isnt going anywhere for a long time.
