Schaller Beagle MacKewan is another line I like for the bottom six, some size and grit there!

Looks like Green is going

Edler Guddy
Hutton Tanev
MDZ Pouliot Stecher

- VANTEL

I was trying to break down the lines and this is what I came up with.

Pettersson playing against Horvat to see how he does against the best center Van has.

Pettersson is also playing against Edler and Gudbranson Van's two largest defenders.

Dahlen Gagner Boeser playing against listed 4th pairing OJ and Stecher.

Schaller Beagle MacEwen vs MDZ and Pouliot

Galchenyuk got pulled off of center because he sucked. We could have extended Dowd ?
- VANTEL

That's the most rediculous thing you have ever said. Will you compare Dowd to Pettersson if he ends up playing on the wing?

This team would be brutal without Sutter this transition year.
- VANTEL

Just don't get injured , wonder what the won loss record is when sutter is injured. I think were better prepared for injuries now.

- VANTEL

I don't consider myself a pom pom waiver but I definitely am not in here whining and crying everyday over everything. Funny that the whiners are the ones that started calling us pom pom waivers.

I don't know where the team finishes. I think they will be around 78-82 points. Wherever that lands at the end of the season.

Not sure if you know this or not, but the team has been brutal WITH Sutter the past three years, they finished 2nd 3rd and 7th last.

That's the point, they didn't really need him, they haven't had any young players other than Horvat to shelter although Willie Desjardins threw Horvat to the wolves his second year and cast him as a second line center.

Benning was looking for something in Sutter that just wasn't in him, that's my point. He could have finished near last with a replacement level player instead of going out and getting Sutter.

Yup all Sutters fault . Henrik and Dowd combined 6 goal -30 has nothing to do with Canucks being a sh1t team. It is all on Sutter

The ridiculous statement was lets trade Virtanen for Galchenyuk. Let's trade a top 6 pick that is finally finding his game to another team for a player they are disappointed with.

Trust me I have said much more ridiculous things than that

Group A has LW Leipsic - C Gaudette - RW Virtanen together again, I like that combo!
- LeftCoaster

I can see a gaudette-virtanen on one line and EP-Dahlen and brock and bo as the other lines in the future, we have lots of skilled wingers to gain chemistry with these combos.

Who said it was Sutter's fault, you're being a drama queen and not looking at the big picture, they were gonna be bad anyways, that again is my point. They didn't need Sutter, but they went out and traded for him thinking he'd improve the team, he couldn't.

Another example of Benning's bad asset management.

Better centers come out of nowhere every year and a bunch of them to each team. No sense in building a roster when you can just slap in a bunch of rookie centers every year and hope that it turns out differently.

We need a serious energy/speed line. We’ll call it the cocaine and caviar line.

Yes I like the two-some's of Horvat-Boeser, Pettersson-Dahlen & Gaudette-Virtanen.

Leipsic adds some skill and speed to the Gaudette and Virtanen two-some so I like that line together.

He played well in Utica last year and he's only 22, plus he's 6'4" with some physical elements to his game
