Would be nice to avoid the distraction of every media member asking him if he will waive after every game. |

I’ve got B’Day tix for the Bruins October 20th. I might reciprocate & give tix for the Caps on the 22nd. I’m contemplating the Flames opener for a 1st game look at EP. |

My bud who got me the Bruins B’Day tix has his B’Day on opening night against the Flames. Good timing if I return the favour. |

So what I have pulled from this weekend so far is the bottom 6 will be solid and scoring will come on the shoulders of Bo Brock EP and other young players . It may take a while for the young guys but it will come.
The D has added more jump to their game and the young players are very close to being effective.
Goal tending still an issue. |

Better team defence will help out the goaltending. Won't win much more until Demko is ready for full time duties. Fine as the young offensive players will need a year or two. Small climb this year and then SCF year after. Just need a lotto win is all. |

I agree. A lot of younger players, going to be some real good and some real bad. Hopefully TG doesn't destroy them. |

Any good story lines from the first two days of camp? So far I've read Hutton looks like a different guy, way better shape and more serious, Zack MacEwen & Dahlen both showing well along with Beagle. |

“Over the last three or four years, I’ve completely revamped my training,” said the Calgary native. “More conditioning, more speed work and less heavy lifting and less bulking up. You still work on strength, but in a different aspect. If you don’t adapt, you get slow-footed and that’s when you’re out because it’s such a speed game.” (Beagle)
This is what I was talking about a few weeks ago. The training for players seems to be changing. I remember in previous years all the younger players doing heavy back squats and power lifting exercises that are hard on wrists, back, shoulders. Hopefully less injuries this season. |

Isn't he the one that will cause cap issues in 4-7 years from now?
