It would havd been great if he could have sat for a 3rd or so of the season, but thatshippedhas sailed.

From what I saw, he looked alright for his first real start.
Once again, he was under a fair amoung of pressure and hung in there.

The take away from the game for me was the D allowing 28 points in the first half.
I am not expecting anything from the O this season, especially early on...maybe they can find some magic over time.

The little things like holding off throwing to Clay on the goal line, and being a little late throwing will improve with Allen.

I know they have a ridiculous amount of dead cap.space, but the lack of talent on the offense is inexcusable. To not add any olinemen or receivers in the draft or free agency is plain stupid. Then to spend the money they did on Vontae, star and Murphy is a ?.

Allen had some misreads and misses today by I thought he was good. I'm thinking/hoping he has it.

My biggest disappointment today was how bad Edmonds looked

There was definitely some encouraging things from today, not the least of which is 245 yards with the "talent" around him, and being under pressure all day. And not once did I see the camera go to him and he was sulking, he was either just chilling on the bench, or trying to pump guys up.

Unfortunately whether he's ready or not is irrelevent. Peterman can not go back in outside of an injury, he just can't.

I didn't see the first half, so I can't really comment, but he ended up with 6 solo tackles to lead(tied with Poyer) the defense.

Whole defense was much better in the 2nd. He was terrible in the first, and I do like him a lot, so I'm being honest, not pulling on him

Has Big Ben talent to get out of sacks, and that cannon allows him to go through progressions and hit throws he shouldn’t be able to. Missed a couple throws to RBs. I don't think Allen will ever master the check down/slant. We're gonna just have to live with that.

It would be nice if we had a Goodwin/Coleman threat to keep the D honest with a deep option.

That wasn't Beane.

It is unclear whether that meant Davis retired in the middle in the game, but that was the impression that Bills defensive players expressed in the locker room.

“I did lose respect for him as a man,” Rafael Bush said in regards to Davis apparently leaving while the game was ongoing. "To quit on your teammates when things aren't going so well in the middle of a game ... that's definitely disrespectful."

"I've never been around anything like that. I've never heard anything like that," Kyle Williams said. "I think the only thing to say is he's where he needs to be right now."

Williams said he did not learn about it until he got back to the locker room after the game. He said he was awaiting more details.

Lorenzo Alexander said he found out at halftime that Davis was not returning to the field.

I liked his overall game considering the circumstances...it's a tire fire at one bills drive yet allen was able to keep his wits about him...yeah, he's gonna do things like that, and if he never learns from those type mistakes he won't get too far, but there are a lot of things to like about his first game
