I believe two of his goals were a result of hanging out at the other teams blue line and one was an empty netter. Not impressed

If Getzlaf gets injured again, they are hooped. Rakell is legit. So many adds to LA, SJ, CAL it's hard to see an aging anahiem competing. And I think it's literally impossible Edmonton finishes with the worst powerplay again this year. They didn't miss the dance by much last year, got the best player in hockey and a calder fave IMO.

You know they finished with 5 more points than the Canucks, right? That's 5, f-i-v-e, and they had the best player in hockey last year too. FIVE.

Any word on his defensive play and work along the boards?

If he still sucks at those I’d waive him

- Nucker101

Haven't heard anything bad about anyone other than Jake . JPat said he had a nice solo goal and yesterdays was a nice effort . He has 5 goals 3 assists in 3 scrimmages .

Weisbrod seems to think he will be protected.

I agree Goldy has to add more to his game. He’s not going to survive on scoring alone. So many details in a game & he’s gotta engage & become a pro sooner than later.

Look at any team & if they lose their star how will they do?
Edmonton cannot survive where as many teams can still manage to push for the PO’s.

What was the negative commentary around Jake? I didn't hear (read) anything other than he was playing tough physically...?

That side of it bugs me a bit (Not your comment but the fact). If the Canucks bottom 6 are playing shut down rolls, the top 6 should be more focused on the offensive.

Mcdavid played all 82 games last year and Draisaitl only missed 4 games?

True but if they don’t play 200’ others will fill their spots if the offence is mediocre or less.

My point is the Oilers are from being a good team with or without McD. Just looking at our team & how far we need to go without 4-1OA’s & i like us better.

I heard he looked out of shape by one guy and today he was practicing with the group trying to make the Canucks not the regular group. The broadcaster was wondering if Green was sending him a message.

Everyone heard he was checking everything in sight yesterday but I have heard two people comment on his off season training.

I think he is having a good training camp . Hard to pass comments on play by play of the radio broadcast but no negative comments yet.

I really like his slick moves & scoring touch. He also seems very likeable. Hoping he makes the team & finds his niche.

Pacific Conference 2018:

San Jose
LA
Edmonton
Calgary
Anahiem
Arizona
Vegas
Vancouver

The ones I'm most sure about are the top and the bottom, but pacific has gotten a lot better over the summer. I could see Anahiem slipping further if Getzlaf continues to have injury problems. Thoughts?

San Jose
LA
Anaheim
Vegas
Calgary
Arizona, Vancouver , Edmonton

The bottom three are interchangeable although Edmonton could win the division... but until they do they still suck.
