The notion it’s remotely possible is silly.

I got off twitter and Facebook last November and never looked back.

Smart man, I am dumbfounded that people put so much stock in what Richard Cranium has to say. And 99% of posters are Richard Cranium

Agreed, I think he will figure it out but with a different team. Drafting a hometown kid is a bad idea. Sign them as UFAs after they have grown the frank up.

Better yet he wasn’t ready year 1 for the NHL. MG’s empty cupboard meant UFA’s was the only other choice left. The price for cup runs & piss poor asset management from the last regime. Times are a changing.

Still not an excuse for rushing him. Play some AHL scrub instead.

Drafting has been JB's strong suit. Some trades and signings didn't work out. Glad we have some prospects in the system.

Really looking forward to see some games.

Was not an excuse was pointing out a fact 👍

If we played another AHL scrub it would’ve been one more player some would go on & on about as usual.

All true. The trades were mostly not of the big variety so little to no real big harm done.

I thought I read it was going to be on the web, but I can't see where I read that.

They sure are going to have a different look/feel without 22 and 33.

how much faster are they going to look?

Of course people would complain, but any GM who develops his prospects based on fan perception is a horrible GM. It should have zero influence.

It is what is now, Jake has to man the (frank) up, take his career seriously and play to his strengths. The local boy excuse is just weak. He’d still be partying out in Abby during the summers even if he was playing in the KHL.

And even away from home, it’s not like it’s difficult for players to hit up nightclubs.

whatever the line is from JB about a rookie making the team out of camp, making room for the player. JV and McCann had good camps and looked better than whoever they were competing against, at least at camp.

they often looked in over their heads at the start of the season. And I'm not sure if that is because they were, or were afraid to make a mistake or weren't given any rope.

JB should of had better players in front of them at that camp. But the team didn't have any depth.

Anyway, I don't want to start ripping on JB.

Am I a hypocrite to want to see EP in the lineup or is he different because he was playing in a pro league last season?

Have the lineups been announced?

As much as I’m curious about Beagle, I want to see how the guys playing for roster spots will perform.

You’re not a hypocrite. EP was more dominant in a legit pro men’s league than McCann and Virtanen were against teenagers.

I know people have Virtanen/McCann PTSD, but EP is one of the best prospects this team has ever had.

No - Green won’t announce the lineup 😡. It’s just weird, if I knew EP was playing I would go for sure.

Each player is judged on their own. EP is much more ready but will face a much higher learning curve this year.

Gaudette said today that Beagle is the most fine tuned athlete he has ever seen. He sees what it takes to be a pro , how hard you have to work
