3 seasons. 16 goals. 5'9", 161 lbs. Comprehend it.
- Unholy_Goalie

Cool you can list someone’s height and weight. Does not matter.

16 goals in how many games?

No doubt, can't have a full team of them, but can't have a team that is small, weak and one-dimensional either.
- Unholy_Goalie

Why do you insist the Leafs are weak? They have smaller forwards ill give you that but they are not weak.

if the teams one dimension is scoring goals. I think I can live with that. I can sacrifice some grit/60 for that.

Because they are. A lot of young, small, speedy players but they lost a lot of battles against the Bruins last year in the playoffs getting muscled off of pucks and out of plays.

The Leafs are one of the least physical teams in the NHL and they lost another 500+ hits in Komarov, Polak and Martin. Don't get me wrong, it's good those guys are gone, but the few positives they did bring to the team need to be replaced, if not added to.

Only goes so far. It's hockey and when the playoffs roll around, there's a lot more to the games than just scoring goals.

Washington scored goals but they still had Ovechkin and Wilson hitting like trucks, among others. There's more to the puzzle than just trying to score all the time.

The Leafs took the Bruins to game 7 and probably could have won the series if Kadri didnt act like a moron and get himself suspended for 3 pivotal games.

Oh please, the Leafs got destroyed for the majority of that series. They were down 3-1 for a good reason. Andersen was the only reason they made it to game 7. Kadri made a mistake in part because the Leafs were getting physically dominated and he retaliated stupidly. The Leafs were the nails, not the hammers and it cost them big time.

Your right, the Leafs got crushed. Tampa Bay must of played like the 70s Flyers just to beat the big bad Bruins. Definitely not using speed and skill thats for sure.

And how did the Capitals beat the Lightning? They beat the (frank) out of them and scored too. They did both.

maybe that new Russian D-man Ozhiganov can provide that.
Perhaps Borgman can too if he makes it.

Borgman had a bunch of hits last year so he's just doing the same again this year, if he can keep it up for the whole season. I doubt Ozy even makes the team, if he does, he's the 7th man alternating with Carrick like Polak did. The rest of the defense, between Dermott, Gardiner and Rielly is pretty soft. Carrick is pretty soft too. Hainsey is strong but not exactly a bruiser.

You're expecting the Leafs to win Cups like Pittsburgh? On the back of the best player in the game and arguably the 2nd or 3rd best player in the game beside him? Yeah, right.

So there is only 2 ways to win a cup, have the best 2 players on the planet or you hit the other team into the ground.

Crosby and Malkin broke playoff records that no player will ever match again...apparently.
