Chris Kreider looked pretty animated on the Rangers bench after Boo Nieves went down the tunnel. He came out for his next shift and went looking for a big hit. Caught Sami Vatanen with a solid one.

I thought it was incidental, looked they actually knocked heads. But when a player is laying on the ice from a hit, the team better respond.

He didn't look very slow on that shorty he had. Also, Lias isn't going to score the majority of he goals on breakaways. He plays in the dirty areas around the crease and the high slot, where you don't need speed, you just need to be good on your edges and be in the right place at the right time. good positioning = good opportunities

I couldn't find it. It was kind of like the Wilson hit last year where the initial contact is clean and then the heads accidentally hit. Probably could have been a minor during the game, but there should be no review.

I'm surprised, usually they are much quicker to dole out penalties in the preseason to try and deter things in the regular season.

they didnt, but they penalized everything else lol

pretty much. its not one of those hits where it seems intentional. their heads slammed together.

you want to give gryb a minute to make sure hes ok? fine. but once hes up and staying on the ice after an icing, why not put mcleod out to fight him.

makes no sense. just like not even giving Day a game up here to play.

Nope, I was bit surprised too, they called every hook, real or imaginary on both teams.
