He is still a bust. That remains true, and historically speaking, Tyler Myers is the absolute highest ceiling possible for Stanley. All of his comparables have fewer than 100 NHL games, excluding Myers.

I’ve said repeatedly that I want to be wrong inn Stanley, and hope he makes it. I’ve said repeatedly he’s developing way faster than I expected, and I’m impressed with his improvement.

I’m also comfortable, and correct, in declaring him a bust. A first rounder with a 3rd pairing ceiling isn’t great.

Stanley had a bad game last night. Its quite premature to call him a BUST. He was up against several of the best players in the world...McDavid and Draisatl and in a lineup of rookies. Give him another year or two to get more speed and positioning and he could be a decent dman. Chevy said Stanley would need some time from day 1. I project him to make the team in 2020-21 season.

I was hard on Seth Griffith's play in the first game, want to add here that he was much more involved and effective vs the oilers.
