Especially on a 2 year deal. Still a RFA and wont be eligible for arbitration either. Its a win for the Sabres and money is not really an issue the next 2 years.

Given that the talks have went on this long, Botts isn't "just paying him whatever" nor is he caving to demands. It'll get done, but to dig your heals in over a quarter million for 2 years seems counterproductive.
