I’ve been hesitant to post today after reading all the posts from yesterday and again this afternoon.

I may floor you guys because I will go against the grain here.
1. Hutton wasn’t that bad last night, sure there were some gaffs but overall he played over 26 minutes in the first preseason game of the year. I was actually encouraged by his play that maybe, quite possibly if used 15 to 18 mins maybe he can get control of his required role...number 5-6 dman.
2. Horvat tried way to much on his own, too many times trying to stick handle and not use his supporting players. Too many turnovers trying to be Captain Canuck material.
3. I was not very impressed with lipstick, too small, too easily knock off the puck, and no body presence against the opposition.
4. Dahlen belongs in Utica, with lipstick and Eriksson, Schaller had a few good hits but didn’t stand out.
5. Pettersson is going to be a star, please god let him stay injury free.
6. Once regular season starts Boeser, Pettersson, Baertschi and Horvat will be the only reason this team finishes bottom five, without them they will finish in last place.
7. I liked Virtanen and it’s seems Green has an issue with him if he plays some of the other guys more than JV, guy is starting to round into a half decent player.

Enjoy tonight’s game, looking forward to seeing Palmu and Lind.

Off the ice?

As a fan, I was more entertained by comments from guys like Luongo, Lack, Bieksa, Salo, Burrows, Kesler, Samuelsson, etc.

I find the current team to be pretty boring personality-wise.

But I’ve always said that I’d rather win a cup with a bunch of monotone Siberians than lose with a roster full of loveable local boys

Yeah i feel similarly. Hopefully some of our new kids can bring some personality. I have hopes for more interest from Dahlen Lind and Gadjovich if they can make it to the NHL

I thought being a man meant falling in line? I’m so confused now. The only thing I know for sure is Reuby is NOT a man.

Have you really always said you would rather win with a bunch of montone Siberian’s? Interesting quote. I just found lack to be a goofy jackass ass and he lacked professionalism. To each their own.

Pretty much, yeah.

I have my personal fav players and such but I’m 100% for doing what’s best for the team and I find wins more satisfying and entertaining more than anything else.

If you can win with a team that other teams’ fans hate then that’s just gravy.

Last night was it by Green up the side of his head,

Seriously I did hear his name a few times last night but was quite underwhelmed so though better of saying anything about him for fear of being labeled a hater

6 hits seems generous but he battled hard in the defensive zone. Was pretty meh offensively and his size still hurts him defensively despite the effort.

If he can’t provide offence he’s of no help.

Next years UFA’s & RFA’s.
We could use a key UFA D

1 - Hutton is bad bro. responsible for 2 of the goals sure Nilsson should have had one but still...

2 - Agree. Don't want Horvat to get locked in the Kesler Zone by not using his line mates...I think Bo will be ok long term.

3 - Leipsic looked decent last night. Lots of speed creates chances for line mates and space. I think he makes the club. We need his speed...badly.

4 - Agree on Dahlen...but the jury is way out on ERiksson and Schaller. One game does not make LE and Schiller considering what they can bring.

5 - yes and yes.

6 - we'll be a bottom 10 club for sure. where that is remains to be seen. Way too many intangibles to say we will be bottom 5 for sure. If Nilsson plays more than 25 games we probably will be however. Hoping Demko is up by TDL for good.

7 - Agree. JV seems to be putting in the work just need to show on the scoresheet. If he gets the TOI with the right line mates he can do it. Similar to how I watched him when he was with the Hitmen. Effort...period.

Really looking forward to Palmu and Lind tonight. Lind won't be on the team but Palmu has shown flashes.

4-2 Nucks.
