Fighting in a preseason game is useless in my opinion. - Thrill81
I read some Pens were exchanging a few greetings from the family in their scrimmage championship as well, so its more or less in the players blood (some call it "testosterone" - and hopefully just the natural one! )... and honestly, i know this feeling too well myself from weightlifting and when someone tries to piss me off. |

It sounded a little pommie, but bludger is a definite word that is well used here! |

Have to think Simon is the odd man out once Sheahan is back.
Edit: Also, Sid and the kids, Mark 2. |

Opening-night, Horny is Top6... DeSmith is backup (he is more solid anyways, and would have to be waived also), and Riikola starts in AHL (waiver-eligible)... so basically there weren't too much spots to win in trainings camp, which is acceptable, as at our season-start NHL roster is pretty solid this year. I like it. |

They'll give Sprong a few regular season games with Sid first. He'll probably end up on Brassard's wing to start the season. Can't think of this team as a traditional top 6-bottom 6 lineup, considering they will be able to ice a 3rd line that will be better than the majority of teams 2nd lines. That 3rd line is more of a 2b |

You're absolutely right, wingers will just jump up and down the lineup.

Read an article on the Pens' website and so far the coaching staff was hoping to see more out of Sprong. |

Or Sprong is keeping Hornys seat warm. Looks like they might be giving Sprong an opportunity with Sid knowing it probably won't be a long 1.
Although knowing what Sully is like, all those lines will be ripped apart mixed around & put together - except Sid/Guentzy & hopefully Geno/Philbo. We don't want Phil the thrill unhappy do we? |
